We had the good fortune of connecting with Stefani Herr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stefani, how does your business help the community?
We thought a lot about our impact as a company before launching our product line. My co-founder, Alexa, and I were certain that we wanted to bring to life a company that cared about the well-being of our clients as well as that of the earth. We are a purpose-forward and earth-friendly source for home goods, providing sustainable alternatives to our competitors.

We knew we could improve the lives of our customers in a tangible way with functional home goods like bins and trays that are easy to use, encourage organization, and look beautiful in any space. We are passionate about the power of organization and are working to change the narrative away from organization as a chore and into organization as self-care. When purchased thoughtfully, our products are a way to help encourage this mindset and achieve balance.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At SortJoy, our products are made of recycled plastics such as plastic water bottles. Not only is our material eco-friendly but our products are also long lasting and timeless. Our customers can feel good about bringing them into their homes. Coming from careers as a Professional Organizer and an Interior Designer, my co-founder and I are focused on functionality and design in everything we make.

We are very excited about the launch of a few new products including our recently released tray collection. Our large trays double as lids for our sculpted bins making them multifunctional, a benchmark we strive for all our products to meet. We have a few other product launches coming up that I cannot give away yet but I can say that these new products will be staples in our collection.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Part of what makes life so amazing in LA is the incredible weather! We’re all about spending as much time outside as possible and LA makes it so enjoyable. Whether you’re in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice or Santa Monica there’s nothing like getting some Vitamin D and stopping for a delicious and healthy meal, and even maybe a juice or smoothie along the way. The city has amazing stores, style, street art, museums and more, so taking that all in is a must. Not to mention having both incredible hiking trails and the beach right at your fingertips!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve had so many mentors, friends, and family that have supported me in this last year with the launch of SortJoy but more than anything I want to thank my co-founder, Alexa Cohn, who never ceases to amaze me with her dedication, hard work, and creativity.
