Hi Stephanie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

Starting Fly Wines was a journey driven by a desire to embrace change and explore new horizons. The decision to pivot from a technology background to the world of wine was fueled by a determination to break free from hesitation and regrets. Despite the challenges inherent in navigating a new industry, such as understanding operational requirements and obtaining necessary licenses, the journey was guided by a commitment to listen and learn from industry peers. The passing of my mother served as a catalyst, igniting a newfound sense of purpose and emboldening me to pursue a life aligned with my passions. Fly Wines became a symbol of courage and resilience, a testament to the power of embracing one’s true calling and daring to soar beyond conventional boundaries.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey with Fly Wines is defined by a steadfast commitment to resilience and continuous growth. Rather than viewing setbacks as failures, I embrace them as opportunities for learning and development, both personally and professionally. This mindset has been instrumental in overcoming the numerous challenges encountered along the way.

Building a business in a new industry like wine was far from easy. However, I’ve learned to keep moving forward, even when progress seems slow. Recognizing areas for improvement and seeking assistance when needed has been crucial to our success. I’ve come to understand that being the jack of all trades isn’t sustainable; instead, I focus on leveraging expertise and collaboration to propel our brand forward.

Authenticity and transparency are at the core of our ethos. We acknowledge our limitations and strive for openness in all our endeavors. This approach fosters trust and connection with our audience, ensuring that every interaction with Fly Wines is genuine and meaningful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a week-long trip with my best friend, I’d start by taking them to a charming restaurant where we could indulge in stimulating conversation over great wine and food pairings. Throughout the week, we’d embark on magnificent hikes, soaking in breathtaking views of the landscape. Visiting luxurious wineries would be a highlight, where we could explore different varietals and learn about the winemaking process.

In between our wine adventures, we’d make time for a relaxing spa session to rejuvenate and unwind. Exploring the local culture and charming neighborhoods would also be on the agenda, perhaps with visits to artisanal shops and galleries.

Overall, the itinerary would be a perfect blend of outdoor exploration, culinary delights, and relaxation. It’s about immersing ourselves in the beauty of the surroundings and creating unforgettable memories together.

Dedicating a shoutout to my Mom is paramount in recognizing the foundation of support and encouragement she provided throughout my journey. From instilling values of resilience to fostering opportunities for personal growth, her unwavering commitment to nurturing our development has been instrumental. Additionally, credit extends to my Dad, whose hard work and dedication laid the groundwork for our family’s stability and success. Together, they exemplify the epitome of parental love and sacrifice, shaping the trajectory of my life in profound ways. Their influence serves as a constant reminder of the importance of family and the power of unwavering support in achieving one’s aspirations.
