We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Sturm and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I attribute the success of my brand to a couple of things. First and foremost the quality of my work is the most important. If my clients are not seeing the healed results that they are happy with they would never give me a referral and that is how I retain and gain clients. To ensure that I am providing my clients with the best possible brows I practice every day and I am committed to continued education, I will always be a student. Next, customer service is something that I think has made my brand much more appealing than my competitors. I create a relaxing space where you feel like you are catching up with an old friend. My clients truly are the most important part of my business and I feel like so many of them have become my good friends.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My style of Permanent Makeup is a very natural approach. I strive for my clients to feel like they have had an enhancement. Something that complements their beauty not distract from it. I found artists in the beginning of my career that I admire and used them to influence and find my natural style.

It has been a long road, I started a few months before the pandemic, but I am very determined once I set my mind to accomplishing something. I took the entire year off during the pandemic and studied very hard taking note of every video and post from artist that I hoped to be as good as. Once we opened back up, I hit the ground running and opened my business going from a small room in a salon to a Sola Salon Suite and now my own storefront!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Santa Clarita I really enjoy hiking and biking on the Paseos. Restaurants I would say anything on Main Street in Newhall, my favorite being Eat Real for Lunch and Old Town Junction for Dinner, Chef Otto is a genius in the kitchen.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel like in the technical sense, Lexi Bowler from Bowler Esthetics has been a major influence in my work and business practice. I attended an in person training with Lexi in 2021 and shortly after joined her membership continuing education program. Her work ethic, technique, and support is something that I admire and I aspire to reach her level of success. She has always been so informative and a great mentor.
