Hi Steve and Anne-Marie, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
We think the most important thing we have done as parents that has impacted out daughter is how we interact with and build our relationships. We continually tell her “If you want good friends, you have to be a good friend” We honestly feel TRUE success is shown in the company you keep. It’s building deep, meaningful and long lasting relationships. It’s knowing you can call numerous people when you’re in trouble knowing they would be there for you in a heart beat. In the end it’s about who you loved and who has loved you, and that is the best we can ask for our daughter!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think our business is grounded in having a deep understanding and awareness of human nature. We have been fortunate to do so much with our lives, and at the heart of all are the people. Starting out as young artists our vision was about living out a passion at any cost, so we have never been afraid to live with risk and rejection. Being a husband and wife team gives us a unique opportunity to give our clients an added dose of value, each bringing different skills to the table. We base our business on DEDICATION, COMMUNICATION, DETERMINATION and TRUST.

Both of us were raised in Maryland, spent 10 years in Manhattan and are now 20-year residents of Burbank. We feel this gives us the perfect combination of East Coast tenacity and Southern California calm and ease. We like to say Anne-Marie is the “crowd gatherer and Steve is the “closer,”
A perfect combination to get the deal done.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When our real estate agent first drove us down Magnolia Blvd, we were convinced we would never live in Burbank, but now we are grateful everyday that we are part of the Burbank Community. Burbankians like to say “Only in Burbank” because it is a small town within a big city. We love when guests come to visit so we can show them all of our favorite spots. Being Avid runners/hikers a trip to Griffith Park is a must. Of course, as well as the Hollywood sign hike and further up to the Wisdom Tree! The Verdugo’s is another favorite with amazing views along the Skyline Trail.

Ending the day “up the hill” at Castaway for a cocktail and sunset is perfection. And no trip to LA would be complete without a day at our favorite Zuma Beach, and then ending at Duke’s for one of their famous Mai Tai’s.

Another of our favorite days is a trip to downtown, from Olivera St. to Japantown, to the Central Market, it is a full day of adventure and cultural sights and sounds.

A trip to the theater is always a bonus, seeing a show at the Ahmanson or Taper and enjoying the amazing courtyard before hand always leaves a lasting impression!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Nothing could be truer than the title of John Donne’s poem “No man is an island” We all need others to support us and help us grow. Having worked in several industries before real estate, we were fortunate to meet many inspiring and encouraging people from all walks of life. It. However, I think our biggest inspiration comes from our background as young performers. Artists have a pure and unwavering passion for what they do. They fail over and over again, yet continue to move forward for something they so deeply believe in. We loved being part of that world and it certainly helped shape who we are today, how we see the world, and how we interact with our clients. So here’s a Shout Out to all the struggling artists who continue to see the beauty in the world, and never waiver from their passion!
