We had the good fortune of connecting with Steve Conley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steve, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Sharing the secret to happiness to enrich everyone’s life. “Happiness is contained within you always. It is purely the perspective you choose to view life from.” To say something or someone makes me happy is akin to saying something or someone breathes for me. That is simply not the case. Happiness is me looking at me and accepting that life is happening around me at all times. My choice is to see and experience the best in every moment regardless of the circumstances. It is then, the essence of what brings the feeling of happiness or contentment manifests from within. It is a conscious choice to stay in the moment and know that within each moment contains everything—happiness, sadness, love, joy and misery. Simply choose your perspective and know every instant of this existence is for you and your growth within the moment. Therefore, the obvious choice is to focus on happiness, joy and love. Simply allow life to be and accept the beauty of its design. Happiness or any emotion is solely up to you and only you. Enjoy life for that is the purpose of our beautiful existence! It brings me immense happiness to share my message of inner-peace with the world. I have spent years contemplating the simple yet complex paradoxical questions— “Who am I really?” and “What is Happiness and Love”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a poet, author and present-day spiritualist guiding those who desire the truth of our infinite existence is my priority. Born with a unique intuitive ability to connect with people I have unrelentingly followed my calling in life by guiding those around me. I grew up in Southern California and in the second grade became cognizant of my rare and ever-present gift of spiritual awareness. This is when I began to question everything and realized for the first time, I was different in the way I perceived the world we live in. I possess a fearless quest for life and pursue what I sense rather than what I have been taught. My adventures have touched every aspect of my personal existence. I have surrendered to the process of life and stayed connected to my deep spiritual roots while destiny has inevitably taken me in challenging and new directions. I am self-taught and worked for 34 years at an aerospace company in production management. There I evolved my understanding and awareness of life from many different perspectives. I have spent thousands of hours meditating to deepen my spiritual awareness and refine my intuitive abilities. I have spent decades reading, researching and learning about life and spirituality. Having experienced enlightenment, I resolutely follow my passion and share this rare understanding with those who have an asking to reconnect with themselves and experience the One we all are. My book provides a detailed account of not only my beautiful existence but outlines a path to the meaning of life itself. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hands down we have the most picturesque and iconic beaches in the world. The obvious first stop would be to experience the beauty and serenity of the Southern Calif coastline. We would start in Redondo beach and work our way through Venice, Santa Monica and Malibu stopping at unique eateries along the way to taste the endless array of culinary delights LA offers. From there a hike through the Malibu hills on a warm afternoon is in order. Here you can take in a serene perspective of the area and see why LA real estate is among the most sought after in the world. We would follow up with a trip to the Getty Center Museum which is one of my favorite spots in LA. The architecture, panoramic views and serenity of the gardens are unsurpassed. This tranquil setting situated within the busy city is a perfect spot to unwind and spend the day. The variety of displays contained within the numerous buildings on campus will satisfy anyone’s desire to explore our illustrious history. An adventure to Hollywood would be next simply to see the uniqueness the area displays on a daily basis. Later, an evening visit to the Grove is a must to people watch and witness the diversity LA has to offer. Our tour of the city would culminate at the Self Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades for a quiet afternoon of contemplation and meditation. LA is unique in that if you can think up a desire, the city and its surrounding areas will inevitably fulfill your request. All you have to do is ask, venture out and open your eyes. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A Shoutout to everyone I have ever encountered for each of you contributed to the person I am today. A special thank you though to two incredible women. First to my beautiful wife for her incredible awareness and love. She sees me as no one ever has and our connection is beyond words. She and I are simply one. And to my dear friend who’s ability to see beyond the obvious to accept and support our sensational spiritual existence is truly remarkable. Their never ending support and understanding enables me to flourish everyday within this wonderful adventure of life. They are beautiful and unique souls who have touched my life deeply. Thank you.
