We had the good fortune of connecting with Tahia Lameer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tahia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I didn’t originally plan to start a consulting business, but my career naturally led me there.
After years in corporate roles, I found myself wanting more ownership and impact in the work I was doing. When my position shifted internally and compensation changed, it became a moment to reassess. I chose to stay — but I also began building something of my own on the side through freelance project management work.
During that time I discovered monday.com. What stood out to me wasn’t just the software — it was the gap I kept seeing in businesses. Many companies were adopting powerful tools, but they hadn’t clearly defined their underlying processes. Their workflows were still living in their heads, which meant the technology never fully reflected how the business actually operated.
That realization shaped the direction of my work. I became certified in monday.com’s Work Management and CRM products and began helping clients translate their internal processes into structured systems. Within about 18 months I had built a strong client base and launched MsMonday.com to work directly with businesses.
Today my focus is less about building boards and more about clarifying operations first. I audit existing workflows, define processes, and then design a monday.com ecosystem that mirrors how the business truly runs. The goal is simple: move business owners from mental clutter to operational clarity so their systems can actually support growth.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
MsMonday.com is a workflow and systems consulting practice focused on helping business owners move from mental clutter to operational clarity.

While I specialize in monday.com — particularly Work Management and CRM — my work goes beyond building boards. What sets MsMonday apart is that I don’t start with the software. I start by assessing and defining what already exists within the business.

Many organizations invest in tools before clearly mapping their processes. I audit current workflows, identify gaps, clarify roles and handoffs, and then design a structured ecosystem inside monday.com that reflects how the business actually operates. A big part of my work is helping business owners get the work out of their heads and into a clear, visible system that the entire team can actually follow.

One of the biggest lessons along the way has been realizing that most operational challenges aren’t about the platform itself. The real issue is usually the process behind it. When workflows are clearly defined, the tools finally start working the way they’re supposed to.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that MsMonday has developed a reputation for clarity and structure. Clients don’t just receive a build; they receive a framework they can actually sustain and grow with.

At the end of the day, what I want people to know is this: growth doesn’t come from adding more tools. It comes from designing infrastructure that allows a business to run efficiently and confidently. That’s what MsMonday is built to do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a close friend were visiting for a week, the itinerary would definitely revolve around some of my favorite quieter corners of Los Angeles.
I’m vegan, so I love supporting local vegan businesses and independent coffee houses. We’d start the mornings slowly at a neighborhood café, then spend time exploring places that let you step away from the usual pace of the city.
The Huntington Gardens is always high on my list — it’s one of those places where you can spend hours walking through the different gardens and just appreciating the space and beauty. I’d also take them to The Getty, which has an incredible mix of art, architecture, and views of the city.
I’m also a big fan of afternoon tea, so fitting in a proper high tea experience would definitely be part of the week. It’s a fun way to slow down and enjoy good conversation.
And since I love the stars and the night sky, we’d end at least one evening somewhere with a good view of the sky — one of the quieter reminders that even in a city like Los Angeles, you can still find moments of calm and perspective.

For me, the best parts of Los Angeles are the places that blend creativity with moments of quiet and serenity.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
One of the biggest influences on my work has actually been my clients. Early on, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of businesses, and each one approached operations a little differently. Working with those businesses revealed something important: the tool itself is rarely the issue. More often, the breakdown happens in the underlying processes.
Seeing where workflows stalled — and where clarity made everything run smoother — helped shape the methodology I use today. Many organizations already have powerful platforms in place, but when workflows aren’t clearly defined, no software can fully solve the problem.
Those early projects pushed me to focus less on the technology and more on the operational structure behind it. I’m grateful to the clients who trusted me when MsMonday was still evolving, because their businesses helped refine the systems and approach that I now bring to every engagement.
In many ways, MsMonday grew out of those collaborations — each project reinforcing the idea that when processes are clearly defined, the technology can finally do what it was meant to do.
