Meet Talbot Kuper | Barber/Shop Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Talbot Kuper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Talbot, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Always stay direct with guests. I will always deliver quality service with integrity while staying in gratitude. This keeps the relationship with every guest healthy, positive and lasting. Our guests are the pulse of our business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Throughout staying in this business I am always grateful and positive. That helps me to stay true to who I truly am even at times when it would be easier to alter course. I am where I am today professionally by staying current and maintaining my craft always being receptive to learning. When you stay in this mindset, as corny as it may sound, you can always overcome challenges. When it comes to barbering, people can always count on quality service that covers a wide range of styles with a custom approach to every individual. That being said, I do enjoy traditional turn of the twentieth century styles. They’re are just really fun haircuts to do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take a friend on a beach path bike ride in the South Bay area and stop at one of the beaches along the way to hang out. On the way back stop at any spot to eat in one of the beach cities along the water. So many good places to eat! Since we’re so lucky to have a lot going on in LA, I would probably already have tickets to a concert at one of the great venues we have here. The Hollywood bowl is always cool, no matter who you see. Plus you can take a shuttle there if you like to have drinks or enjoy yourself before you leave.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
