Meet Talibah Cherry | Head Chef and CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Talibah Cherry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Talibah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process was it has to work or it has to work

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart is my ability to continually improve my skills in such a what seems to be over saturated market! I am most proud of my team, I built a solid team by the permission of Allah! I got to where I am today with the permission of Allah, constant movement, even if it isn’t much… I continue to move. I stayed focused even when I was drowning, I always allow myself to sink into my “why”, it keeps me going! It was never easy, I have thought of giving up quite a few times, but when you look at how much of the journey you’ve already driven, and how far it’ll be to go back, you ll just keep pushing forward! The lessons I’ve learned were if your gonna fail, it was already written, so do not be scared to FAIL FAST !! I would love for the youth to know that I was 17 years old with 2 children under 2 when I started this brand…. This brand is for you!! YOU CAN DO IT TOO !

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For breakfast we’d have to visit Fitzwater cafe, and then nap at our hotel, Taqueria amour for lunch, I take all my friends there lol Then we could hang out at millennium skate would, I’m a scared, I love to skate! Dinner, I’d definitely go to Ruth Chris , and then sleep! We’d also need to get a massage and also a pedi and mani, I’m a really simple girl I love to eat, sleep, and skate lol

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Allah first and foremost because without god, nothings possible!
Immediately after, my father for his entrepreneurial molding
Nehemiah Davis, for the circle of greatness
Milano Dirouge for her girl boss sleep overs
Natasha Somalia for her firmness in hijab while being an entrepreneur
