We had the good fortune of connecting with Talisa Malhas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Talisa, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Well, the way I see it, you have to first stop yourself and take a step back and ask yourself “Am I really doing what I really want in life? Is this what makes me breathe? Can I imagine myself doing anything else and being truly happy? Am I going to have to fight myself to just get out of bed tomorrow morning?” Sure life has its ups and downs with everything but when you’re truly passionate about something you have the love for it that will help you push passed whatever tries to keep you down. The most important part when you’re doing something is knowing how to handle but being able to handle whatever tough and rough season or situation comes by and still being confident in knowing that no matter what comes I’m still doing what I love. When you’re doing something you love, and only when it is something you love it will not feel like work. You will not obligated. The moment you do then it is Not For You. When you’re doing something you love it won’t feel like work. You heart has to be in it. When all you want is a check and you’re dreading and/or doesn’t make you happy at all that’s when you know to give up, that the path is not for you or for your dreams. It has to make you happy. Passion.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I confidently know that sets me apart is not only my drive and passion but number one is my resilience. I will keep working hard to complete things even if the odds are against everything. If & when a situation arises I will not and do not throw my hands in the air under any amount of pressure. No matter what I continue to stay focused to get things fulfilled and accomplished. I love what I do and nothing is going to stop me.

Filmmaking is my passion. I started with A Greek God Entertainment LLC as a production assistant and worked my way all the way up to head casting director/ talent manager and special effects makeup artist as well as being a jack of all trades production including directing & co-directing. I love my work and I love my team. We’ve come such a long way and there’s no other way other than up. I’d love everyone to also check out our new show we’ve worked very hard on and is now in post-production named Pathways which will be airing very soon this year. This is our baby of many and multiple productions we have provided and worked on. We hope everyone enjoys it. Updates for that will be on @agreekgodprod/@pathwaysagge on insta

I am most proud of my journey here and excited about the future and learning new things and new ways. I am also most excited about bringing films that will change the future and help people in this world and the next. My goal is to help shape generations for the good. Bring light in a world of dark.

My journey here has not been easy but I will never trade it for anything because it has molded me in who I am today and I can’t look back.. only forward. There is a famous and wholesome quote which is “Yes the past can hurt but the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it” that and also God. God because without Him nothing is possible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This one is fun because I LOVE to explore different places, venues, viewpoints, cafes, & eateries! I Love mom & pop shops and find uniqueness in all of them around Pasadena, Calabasas, Malibu, Northridge, Woodland Hills, West LA, Santa Monica & more! It definitely depends on the person but I would love to take them to one of the secret spots I know (moved throughout Los Angeles my life so I know a lot of local spots) and definitely would pencil in Universal Studios & Disneyland for amusement parks as well as studio tour such as the ones at Warner Brothers & Universal. I’d also pencil in BMX racing or quad driving in the city of Gorman. I’d show them around Hollywood and filming locations of movies & tv shows and if we would like to relax then either go to some spots I know of near the beach and have a picnic and just relax. Oh! Also I would bring my camera and we can do photo shoots at outdoor locations or re-enactments of some of their most favorite outdoor movie scenes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First & foremost God. Without God everything would not exist. God is the reason for everything. No matter how hard or bleak things seem He is the one to cling onto… not just the good times but the bad times just as much if not more. Another shoutout without a doubt goes to Abraham Lopez owner of A Greek God Entertainment LLC. He is such an amazing man. He also like myself is a talent manager and without a doubt is always there for the people he manages. I admire his personality, drive, passion, and creativity not only in this business but as a person. There is so much I can say about him but that would be very long for this.

I also would love to give a shoutout to Greg from A Greek God Entertainment for constantly being a support through and through and going above and beyond with everything he does.

I also would love to give my shoutout to my father Garbis Malhas for supporting me through my journey and encouragement for my passion and reassuring me that when the going gets tough the tough get going.
