We had the good fortune of connecting with Tameika McPhaul and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tameika, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always had a passion for entertaining and decor. From setting beautiful tables to sharing delicious recipes. I began sharing this love with my family and friends which extended to sharing on social media platform in past 6 years. I’ve gotten lots of questions of where I purchase lots of my pieces so the ideas came to me during the pandemic shut down to launch my own entertaining line which will start with charcuterie cutting boards.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started sharing my creativity of home decor, fashion and entertaining on my blog 6 years ago out of my passion to share past my immediate family and friends. I had no idea that the audience I was sharing with would be remotely interested in what I wanted to share. What I am most proud about is that I continue to show up even when I don’t get the response or engagement on some the content that I share. Because I know the the growth will come and that I have to continue to show up for the few that do engage and love what bring. I’ve gained some incredible friendships and virtual family. What I’ve learned along the way is to trust the process. I want to share with the world how to create a beautiful and stylish lifestyle in there home and have a piece of my products in there home.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would most definitely start our day off with brunch in our downtown Rittenhouse area of Philadelphia. It’s such a chic area to grab brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails. And we can not forget about shopping the boutiques

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband and children to continually pushing me to persue my dreams.
