We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanisha Boston and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tanisha, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
My name is Tanisha Boston and I am from Southern California. I grew up in a single parent household where help was limited, but failure was not an option. I watched my mother work twice as hard to raise and provide for me and my sister. So becoming the adult that I am today, I have the perspective that in order to survive, I have to wear many hats and use them to funnel the ability to succeed in life because failure just simply does not look good on me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am currently the CEO and head wardrobe stylist for ‘Lifestyled Studio’ as well as the creator of ‘MURON Candles’. What sets these two businesses apart but joins them together is that Both brands have a unique and personal way of reminding others of how much they are loved. Muron Candles specialize in the aroma of love while Lifestyled Studio produces unique wardrobe assistance that will leave you feeling loved not only from others but more importantly from yourself. I got to where I am today through simply taking a leap of faith on myself, and wanted to encourage others to do the same. Now this was not easy, because I used to live my life not believing in who God said I was. I lacked confidence but yet developed character through intense mental health recovery, prayer, and connection with business like minded people to help hold me accountable in order to finally see myself the way God saw me. And that began once I started investing into my appearance and aroma around my atmosphere. During this transition I discovered that I was not the only one who struggled in this area, so this activated my mandate to help others rediscover their true identity through the art of style, and cater to the sweet aroma of His love toward His people. I learned along the way that the secret sauce to having a successful business, is patience and self care with God toward your mental health because Developing a business requires much long suffering but yet through it all the value it brings to the people is well worth the wait.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I personally love to visit some of the finest restaurants in Los Angeles, CA. With a reputation of fine dining, I would reserve a table at ‘The Calabra’ hotel and do a review on all of their signature dishes. Next I would have to take a trip down to ‘The Crystal Cove’ beach where we can enjoy a sweet relaxed day of laughter and good weather. Now the evening will consists of MORE EATING; one of my favorite restaurants to visit is ‘CatchLA’ where you will meet some amazing new people there. Every Sunday, I make sure to visit the black flea market where I can choose from unique food trucks all the way down to the artifacts.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for ordering my footsteps and gracing me in becoming who I am today, as well as my photographer and good friend Mallory Ferguson for recommending me for not only my craft as a successor, but also for being a pioneer for Christians in the Fashion & Candle industry.
