Meet Tatiana Batie | Entrepreneur & Community leader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Batie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tatiana, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Over time, my approach to work-life balance has evolved significantly. As an entrepreneur, I used to push through without true rest, often suppressing stress that didn’t feel like “normal” stress until it began to affect me deeply. Now, I’m intentional about taking time off, especially on Mondays, and I prioritize moments with my family. While there’s no set schedule in my line of work, I’ve learned that creating space for rest and personal time is not just important, it’s necessary. This balance has helped me show up stronger for both my business and my loved ones.

What should our readers know about your business?
One of the things I’m most proud of is building Chily Barkers with my son. It’s not just a business it’s a bond, a journey, and a legacy. Getting to where we are today took persistence. I never gave up, even when things got hard and trust me, they weren’t always easy. We’ve now reached five strong years in business, and that’s a milestone I deeply cherish.
I overcame challenges by learning from my mistakes and staying open to growth. This journey has taught me patience, understanding, and the importance of true community. My work as Youth President of National Action Network (NAN) Las Vegas has also shaped how I lead and serve in our community today—it’s pushed me to grow beyond what I thought I knew. I want the world to know our story is about resilience, purpose, and using what we’ve built to uplift others.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d make sure she had the ultimate Vegas experience—my version of it: full of good vibes, great food, and unforgettable moments.
Day 1:
Kick things off with brunch at Gritz Cafe for that soulful Southern start, followed by a relaxing afternoon catch-up at the Chily Barkers food truck she always has to visit her nephew, gotta let her taste the love my son and I built into our brand.
Day 2:
We’d head to Downtown Fremont for some street art, local vibes, and a little dancing under the lights. Late-night? A fun night swim—because there’s nothing like floating under the Vegas stars.
Day 3:
A girls’ lunch date at Court Cafe or Yama Sushi with Marie, Liz, Ke’Aire, and Courtney—my circle of powerful, inspiring women who always bring the laughs and real talk.
Day 4:
We’d do a little shopping at the outlets—treat ourselves, of course—and then grab dinner at the House of Smoke BBQ truck for some serious flavor.
Day 5:
We’d take a more chill day—maybe a local event or pop-up, explore some art, or even check out a NAN Youth LV project so she can see the heart behind what I do in the community.
Day 6:
Something spontaneous—maybe a day trip to Mt. Charleston or a spa day, depending on the vibe we’re in. Either way, it ends with good food, good music, and good people.
Day 7:
Wrap it all up with a farewell dinner with everyone—reflecting on the week, filled with gratitude, joy, and already planning her next trip back.
Vegas isn’t just about the Strip—it’s about the soul, and I’d make sure she felt every bit of it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my incredible husband who has always had my back, my adventurous children, and parents your unwavering support, love, and encouragement have truly carried me through every stage of this journey. I also want to recognize my close group of friends & family who keep me grounded and inspired, My sorority sisters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., and NAN Youth Las Vegas, an organization that continues to pour into me as much as I pour into the community. Where I am today is without a doubt a reflection of the amazing people and support systems around me.
