We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Girly Pops Fitness removes the intimidation and anxiety that many females feel at times in male dominated gyms and brings together a community of girls to celebrate one another’s strength and diversity through fitness and community. I know I have created something special for so many women to gather and be celebrated through fitness, and I strive to grow this community and show the world what women can do when they come together and celebrate one another through fitness, friendship, and life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What makes me different? I bring the fun to fitness. The confidence that I carry myself with, I want to encourage all girls to walk with the same confidence in life. This passion that I have for fitness and life, I have brought in to my own personal training brand and creating a fitness community with Girly Pops Fitness.

I strive to use my experiences as a female athlete to relate to and empower women who feel that they are not ‘enough’. I have been through two ACL tears, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, and many other issues that come along with being a female in sports and female in the fitness industry.

My life has taught me that fear isn’t an option and fear will stand in the way of greatness.

I have big goals that I want to achieve, and I know that I have what it takes to set big goals, execute, and succeed. Whether it has been in basketball, fitness, my career, or my new brand, I have had to step outside of my comfort zone on many occasions and be confident with every step that I take.

I’ve learned to be comfortable being uncomfortable.

Many of us have what it takes deep inside to accomplish our goals, but we have to really ask ourselves, do we have what it takes to act?
To take incremental steps toward our goals?
To make strides every day?
I ask myself this question daily.

I don’t always feel at my absolute best, but I know that if I commit myself to taking small acts of greatness each day, I will be great one day.

So my answer to ‘Do I have what it takes?’ is yes. I’m ready for whatever life has in store for me, I am ready to face any challenge because that is what life is all about! Being challenged, conquering that challenge, and getting better because of that challenge.

I challenge you to get outside of your comfort zone this year. Sit down with yourself. Ask yourself what goals you have, and tell yourself that this is your year to commit. No looking back. No making excuses. Let’s commit together. 1 step at a time. We only have 1 chance.

I know I have created something special for so many women to gather and be celebrated through fitness, and I strive to grow this community and show the world what women can do when they come together and celebrate one another through fitness, friendship, and life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
outside of being a fitness junkie and spending time in the gym, I love to spend time outside, exploring the beautiful LA scenery and enjoying the Southern California weather. But I also like to spend time outdoors! My favorite hike is Will, Rogers, State Park, I love to go to the beach, and chill in the outdoor patios of Urth café. I also love to shop at Century City Mall and explore Rodeo Drive and the streets of Hollywood! There is so much great food out here, so I also love exploring the food options, one of my new favorite restaurants is Yuko kitchen near where I train, Equinox Miracle Mile! Anytime that there is a Fitness event, I am there! I love to support other local fitness, trainers, and wellness brands!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shoutout my first basketball coach and mentor for energy and enthusiasm in life: Sundance Wicks. He taught me how to be comfortable being uncomfortable, how to live every day with intention, striving to get one percent better. He showed me that with hard work, anything is possible and taught me how to fall in love with the process. I would also love to shoutout my mentor in fitness, Chad Dunn. Chad helped me through 2 ACL tears and taught me all of the amazing things my body is capable of. He helped me realize that fitness is fun and that our bodies can do hard things. My parents and brother of course have always been my biggest supporters and advocates, I wouldn’t be able to do anything in life without them.
