We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Marie Contarino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor Marie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always wanted to be my own boss, and I’ve always desired to be a leader in creativity, art, media, and entertainment. I’ve always been a hardworking, energetic, and passionate creative, and I’ve always believed that my discipline and unrelenting spirit is what’s going to help me get to where I want to be, doing the things I love, and live the life of my dreams. I’ve always dreamt of paving my own way in entertainment and media, and I believe that now is a stronger time than ever before, as I prepare to graduate from USC with my second degree, my Master’s Degree, and prepare to excitedly journey out into the world on my own accord.

What should our readers know about your business?
Creating Taylor Marie LLC has always been a dream of mine – building something on my own, and putting my heart and soul into it, has been so exciting for me, and my company has truly become my baby. Watching it grow and develop has been incredibly motivating, inspiring, empowering, and uplifting.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the city of Los Angeles so much. My friends and family visiting me here is always such a joy and literally breathes life into me, because I love the joy of getting to show them the city that has given me so much joy, happiness, and has fed into my passions so much, supporting my creative dreams and endeavors. Whenever my family or friends visit me, I try to be super intentional in exposing them to “the real LA” outside of the tourist-oriented spots, and I always try to tailor an experience fitted and curated perfectly to my loved ones as I know them. I almost always bring my loved ones to a music-oriented or cultural event, or to a museum or even a pop-up experience that I align with. Some of my favorite food spots are Taverna Tony, Hot And Cool Cafe (ORA Energy), Bacari, Fritto Misto, LAVO, and more. I’m also a big lover of beautiful views, scenic, rooftop spots, and positive, beachy, “California-esque” vibes. I love showing my loved ones what my life looks like out here. 🙂

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my story to my Pop Pop Jed, who I lost one month ago. He taught me to believe in my dreams, and that life is what you make of it.
