We had the good fortune of connecting with Terrell Samuels and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Terrell, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After the pandemic happened, I wanted to figure out a way to keep every charity, university, business, and regular folk funded on a monthly basis using entertainment spending. Because I also saw people spent 70 percent more annually on home entertainment around 500 MM a year. I figured if I can capture these funds an put them back into the community it would create a whole new financial eco system and it has!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Philanthropy has been the foundation and the reason I created Monytize. I wanted to create a mechanism to keep all of the charities and foundations funded on a monthly basis so we can do more for the next generation and the kids. I also wanted the charities to become self sufficient so they would not have to keep asking donors for new dollars every month if I can use entertainment subscriptions and advertising dollars to keep these entities funded monthly.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love LA! It has so much character and so many options. I would say my favorite place would be sunset strip. You can alsways find good food, entertainment, comedy, cool bars and or an awesome nightlife.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First I want to give credit to God! Then my parents wife, my family and then, Dr scott davenport has been my mentor for over 17 years and has helped me mentally, spiritually, and in every aspect of becoming the Successful Man I have become!
