Hi Tesha, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is consistency. Constantly being inspired by the world around me and actively creating new relationships with others to grow my business.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I discovered my passion for art at a young age but was reintroduced to it during Covid. I realized that art was not only a means of self-expression but also a powerful tool to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. As I dedicated myself to refining my artistic skills, I couldn’t ignore the glaring lack of representation for minority artists in the art world.
Creating art has become a deeply personal and spiritual journey for me. It allows me to tap into a profound connection with the wellspring of creativity that goes beyond the limitations of words and language. Through my acrylic on canvas creations, my intention is to capture the intricate tapestry of emotions and human experiences that we all share while advocating for greater inclusion and diversity within the art community. I believe that every artist, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or background, should have a platform to express themselves and be recognized for their unique perspectives.
With each brushstroke and every piece I create, I strive to challenge the status quo and spark conversations about the importance of representation in the art world. I want to inspire aspiring artists, especially those from marginalized communities, to embrace their creativity and pursue their passions unapologetically. By amplifying underrepresented voices through my art, I hope to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable artistic landscape that celebrates the richness of our collective human experience.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I would plan a week-long trip filled with a mix of relaxation, exploration, and memorable experiences.
Day 1: Sound bath session to relax and unwind.
Day 2: Coffee shop hopping to enjoy specialty brews and cozy atmospheres.
Day 3: Beach day for sun, ocean dips, and beachside picnic.
Day 4: Cultural exploration through museums, galleries, and landmarks.
Day 5: Adventurous excursion with hiking, zip-lining, or water sports.
Day 6: Discover hidden gems and indulge in local cuisine.
Day 7: Reflective farewell at a scenic spot to appreciate the trip.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I would like to dedicate a shoutout to my family and friends. They have been a source of support, love, and encouragement throughout my journey. Their presence and belief in me have played a significant role in shaping who I am today, and I am grateful for their unwavering support.
I would also like to give credit and recognition to the book “Ask and It Is Given” by Esther and Jerry Hicks. This book explores the concept of the Law of Attraction and provides practical guidance on how to manifest desires and create a fulfilling life. It emphasizes the power of thoughts and emotions in shaping our reality and offers techniques for aligning ourselves with our desires. “Ask and It Is Given” serves as a valuable resource for personal growth, empowerment, and understanding the role of our own consciousness in creating our experiences.
In my story, the principles and teachings from this book have been instrumental in fostering a positive mindset, self-belief, and the ability to manifest my goals. The book’s emphasis on the importance of clarity, focus, and alignment has influenced my approach to problem-solving and goal attainment. It has taught me to ask for what I want with intention and to trust in the process of manifestation.
