Meet Tetiana Krusir | Owner of “Make My Day Flowers”

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tetiana Krusir and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tetiana, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.
One of my favorite books is Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. I’ve always been drawn to classic literature, and this novel, in particular, has left a deep impression on me.
What inspires me most is the character of Scarlett O’Hara. She is strong-willed, resilient, and unafraid to take control of her destiny, even in the most challenging times. Her ability to adapt, find solutions, and keep going despite hardships resonates deeply with me as an entrepreneur. Running a business, especially in a creative industry like floristry, requires both passion and persistence. Scarlett’s determination reminds me that success often comes to those who refuse to give up, no matter the obstacles.
Her famous words, “Tomorrow is another day,” have become a mindset I embrace in my journey. In business, just like in life, challenges are inevitable, but what truly matters is how we rise above them and keep pushing forward.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder of Make My Day Flowers, a floral studio based in Los Angeles that specializes in creating beautiful bouquets, floral arrangements, and installations, as well as providing flowers for various occasions. What sets my business apart is not just the quality of the flowers but the experience and emotions we create. Every bouquet and floral piece tells a story—it’s not just about aesthetics but about making every moment special, whether it’s a gift for a loved one, home decor, or flowers for an event.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the journey itself. Make My Day Flowers started as an online shop, and now I’ve opened a physical location. This milestone represents growth, resilience, and the trust my clients have in my work. Every order, every collaboration, and every step forward brings me closer to my vision of building not just a flower shop but a brand that brings beauty and joy into people’s lives.
But getting here wasn’t easy. Like any entrepreneur, I faced challenges—learning how to market my business, dealing with logistics, and navigating the ups and downs of running a creative company. I also had to take full control of my advertising and marketing efforts after a disappointing experience with targeting specialists. That challenge turned into an opportunity—I gained deep knowledge of digital marketing, which helped me grow my brand more effectively than before.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that adaptability is key. The market shifts, trends change, and unexpected obstacles arise, but being able to adjust, learn, and evolve is what keeps a business strong. I also believe that passion alone isn’t enough—success comes from a mix of creativity, strategy, and persistence.
What I want the world to know about Make My Day Flowers is that it’s more than just a floral business. It’s about making every moment special, bringing elegance and uniqueness to every creation, and building a brand that stands for beauty and thoughtfulness. I’m not just a florist—I’m an entrepreneur with a vision, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Los Angeles for a week, I would want to give her a mix of classic must-see spots, hidden gems, and a taste of the city’s creative and vibrant energy. LA has so much to offer, from stunning beaches to world-class dining and artistic spaces. Here’s how I’d plan the perfect trip:
Day 1: Welcome to LA – Iconic Views & Sunset Magic
Morning: Start the trip with breakfast at République—one of my favorite spots for amazing pastries and a cozy yet stylish atmosphere.
Midday: A scenic drive up to Griffith Observatory for breathtaking views of the city and the Hollywood Sign.
Evening: Dinner at Catch LA, where the rooftop ambiance and fresh seafood set the tone for an unforgettable night.
Night: Drinks at Perch, a rooftop bar with Parisian vibes and an incredible skyline view.
Day 2: Beach Day & Coastal Vibes
Morning: Coffee at Great White in Venice, followed by a bike ride along the boardwalk from Venice Beach to Santa Monica.
Afternoon: Lunch at Nobu Malibu—because nothing says LA like sushi with an ocean view.
Evening: A relaxed sunset at El Matador Beach, one of the most picturesque spots along the coast.
Day 3: Universal Studios & Hollywood Fun
All day: A trip to Universal Studios Hollywood for an exciting mix of rides, movie sets, and behind-the-scenes experiences.
Evening: Dinner at Musso & Frank Grill—a legendary Hollywood steakhouse with a timeless feel.
Day 4: Pasadena – Historic Charm & Local Gems
Morning: Breakfast at Lavender & Honey, a cozy café with great coffee and toasts.
Midday: Visit the stunning Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens—one of the most beautiful places in LA County.
Afternoon: Explore Old Pasadena, shop at local boutiques, and grab lunch at Houston’s for amazing American cuisine.
Evening: Drinks and live music at The Raymond 1886, a hidden speakeasy-style bar with a historic feel.
Day 5: Downtown LA & Historic Landmarks
Morning: Brunch at Bottega Louie (because the macarons are a must!).
Afternoon: Visit The Broad museum for modern art, then walk through Grand Central Market for snacks and street food.
Evening: Cocktails at Clifton’s Republic—a historic restaurant and bar with a unique atmosphere.
Day 6: A Disney Day
All day: A magical trip to Disneyland and California Adventure in Anaheim. Whether it’s the classic rides, the incredible shows, or just the nostalgic atmosphere, it’s an unforgettable experience.
Evening: End the day with Disneyland’s fireworks and grab a late-night bite at In-N-Out on the way back—because it’s a California must.
Day 7: Relax & Reflect + A Special Farewell Dinner
Morning: A slow morning with coffee at Alfred Coffee in Melrose.
Afternoon: Shopping on Rodeo Drive or exploring The Grove for a mix of luxury and casual shopping.
Evening: A farewell dinner at Novikov Los Angeles. Since my best friend is from Ukraine, this makes the evening extra special—Novikov is an internationally renowned restaurant with Ukrainian roots, known for its exquisite seafood and Asian fusion cuisine. It’s the perfect way to end the trip with a meaningful and unforgettable dining experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Success is never a solo journey, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people who have played a role in mine. First and foremost, I want to dedicate my shoutout to my family and close friends. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in me, especially during the early stages of Make My Day Flowers, have been invaluable. Entrepreneurship comes with its ups and downs, and having a strong support system has made all the difference.
I also want to acknowledge my clients—each person who has trusted me with their special moments, whether it’s a wedding, a birthday, or a corporate event. Their appreciation and feedback continuously inspire me to grow, create, and elevate my work.
Additionally, I’d like to recognize the floral and creative communities that I’ve learned from along the way. Whether through industry events, collaborations, or even just online inspiration, being surrounded by talented professionals has pushed me to refine my craft and stay innovative.
