Meet Thomas Parobek | Child Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Thomas Parobek and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Thomas, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have been acting since I was 5 years old and love it! I didn’t really think about becoming an actor, but when my uncle put me into a movie at age 5, I had so much fun and knew I wanted to keep doing it. I’ve always loved putting on plays and make believing though. When I was 2, I volunteered with my mom at my great grandmother’s assisted living facility. I put on a show called “Time for Thomas” every week. I sang to the residents, told stories, helped them exercise, and visited with them. I guess you could say I love people and have always loved entertaining!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love acting, but I am most proud of is the fact that I am able to lead a balanced life as a 7 year old. I go to school, swim, play basketball, and do karate. I love spending time with friends and family and they don’t treat me any different. I’m just a normal kid! I’m proud of myself for staying balanced. I think if you do too much of one thing that it’s not always healthy. You should try out lots of things and that can help you be successful in life. For now, though, I want to keep doing acting… It’s one of my passions and makes me happy!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely to the beach and to Dave and Busters! Actually, any kind of arcade would work. We would eat ramen and pizza until we were sick of it and then go to one of those little ice cream shops where you can pick out as many toppings as you want.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My uncle, Daniel Stine… He’s the one who put me into my first movie and saw something special in me. He’s an actor and a director and so incredibly talented. I look up to him.
