Meet Tiffany Chi

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Chi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
My photographic style is influenced by my Fine Art education and many years of painting and observing light, people, and relationships. My images are soft, natural, light and airy, with a tinge of ethereal romance. I believe in a custom photography experience that is intentional and meaningful, rather than rushed and generic.
Because we now live in a digital world, we leave more and more of our most cherished photographic memories just sitting on a dusty old hard drive, on an ancient social media post, or worse — completely forgotten altogether. For the busy mother who desires quality heirlooms of her most precious moments, I provide a personalized and bespoke service from session planning and preparation to a physical piece of artwork you can hold in your hands or hang in your home.
I have found that the Fine Art Portraiture services that I offer are typically rare within my industry and generally only available to clients interested in Wedding Photography. As a mother myself, I know how quickly these years pass us by and wanted to provide an option for families looking to invest in Heirloom Quality for their children and for their families.
It is my passion to see photographs printed as beautiful artwork. For this reason, I have chosen to partner with Archival Quality Printers and labs who specialize in Museum-Quality printing & framing. They print on archival papers that will last and are made of the finest materials.
When you invest in Heirloom Artwork, you are investing in high quality custom art that will look beautiful in your home and for your family for years to come.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My name is Tiffany Chi and I am the owner and lead photographer of Tiffany Chi Photography. I specialize in Fine Art Portraiture for Maternity, Labor & Delivery Birth, Newborn, Fresh 48, Baby and Family Photography.
My approach is different from your average family photographer as it is personalized, relational, & authentic. I strive to highlight natural connections and I love to create images that speak to the unique story of each family — images that you can feel and revisit years from now: a sweet newborn gazing up at their mother, the look of excitement on the parents’ face as they feel the baby kicking, or your child’s unique smile as you snuggle close to them.
A unique service that I offer is my Multisession Portrait Collections, in which a family can reserve multiple sessions with me — choosing from Baby’s First Year (4 Sessions) or Maternity & Newborn (2 Sessions). These thoughtfully designed Collections not only allow for visual and artistic cohesion across Sessions, but are also made possible because I invest deeply in getting to know the families I work with. This personal approach allows me to tell your story with even greater depth, authenticity, and care.
My heart is to be able to create living art for mothers and their loved ones. As a mother myself, I deeply relate to the overwhelm, the constant reminders of time passing reflected through our childrens’ faces year after year, and the desire to preserve the brief and tender moments that we so often miss because we’re too engrossed in our day-to-day responsibilities. I want to provide an experience that allows mothers to remember to be present in their own lives, feel seen, honored, and beautiful.
I offer Sessions either outdoor on location, in home, and/or in my natural light Studio located in Brea, California. I happily photograph throughout Orange County, Los Angeles, the Southern California region and am also available for travel.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Orange County for a week, I would plan the kind of visit that feels warm, meaningful, and beautiful — full of light-filled spaces, slow moments, and quiet places where we could pause and connect. As a photographer and an introvert, I’m drawn to spaces that are not only scenic but also peaceful — places that let you breathe deeply, sip slowly, and have the kind of conversations that linger long after they’re over.
I also was once a French pastry chef, so naturally, I’m always seeking out the little joys in life: a perfect croissant, a delicate tea service, or a cozy café with charm and character.
A few of my favorite Orange County scenic places for a quiet stroll:
Lido Marina Village, Newport Beach
Balboa Island, Newport Beach
Crystal Cove State Park
Corona del Mar Beach
Old Town Tustin
Downtown Fullerton (Next door to my Natural Light Portrait Studio!)
Favorite Cafés:
Morning Lavender Café, Tustin
Eller Bakery, Costa Mesa
Rye Goods, Laguna Beach
République, Los Angeles

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe a heart full of gratitude to each and every family who has believed in my abilities and placed their trust in me to capture their most intimate and precious moments.
