We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiying Zhao and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiying, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
It chose me. I didn’t pursue it for a purpose but a mission.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sparkware Design Studio is a creative design firm that combines art, technology, and human-centered design to create innovative branding, UI/UX, and product ecosystems. What sets us apart is our unique ability to blend cutting-edge technologies like AI, Web3, and wearable tech with compelling storytelling, ensuring that our designs are both functional and emotionally resonant. I’m most excited about our ongoing work at the intersection of art and technology, particularly our immersive exhibitions and tech-driven creative projects. My journey to establishing Sparkware wasn’t easy; it involved overcoming the challenges of balancing creative vision with business demands. Resilience, strategic partnerships, and continuous learning have been key to overcoming these obstacles. Along the way, I’ve learned that success in this field requires adaptability, collaboration, and a commitment to creating designs that stand the test of time. What I want the world to know about Sparkware is that we’re dedicated to shaping the future of design by pushing boundaries, blending technology with culture, and creating meaningful, impactful experiences.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting LA for a week, I’d start with a visit to the Hollywood Sign and The Getty Center for a dose of art and beautiful city views. After lunch at Nobu Malibu, we’d relax at Zuma Beach before heading to Santa Monica Pier for sunset and dinner. The next day, we’d explore Venice Beach and LACMA, followed by dinner at Gjelina in Venice. I’d also take a trip to Santa Barbara for a wine tasting and scenic coastal views, with a stop at Stearns Wharf. A day in Beverly Hills would include Rodeo Drive shopping and dinner at Spago, while another day would be spent hiking Runyon Canyon and enjoying the views from Griffith Observatory. Finally, we’d relax at Santa Monica Beach and grab a laid-back meal at Café Gratitude before finishing the trip with a fancy dinner at The Bazaar in Beverly Hills.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m still new to the Shoutout community, so there are many people I haven’t had the chance to get to know yet. I’d like to take some time to learn more about everyone here, and I’m happy to reach out to the people, groups, organizations, or books that spark my interest. Thank you!
