We had the good fortune of connecting with Todd Elliot and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Todd, what do you attribute your success to?
Always think positive. Communicating very well with clients from the get-go and then following up after. Being prompt, professional, respectful, and following all the terms and request from clients. After all goes well, requesting a referral or a review on any sites like yelp or social media Helps. Word-of-mouth is the best type of referral for the success of your brand. Improving and updating my website and broadening out with suggestions and feedback from others about my website and company to help succeed the best as possible.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It’s important to always try and overcome failures. Everyone fails, and if you learn lessons from it, that makes you succeed and improve on your life and business in the future. I’ve developed talents over the years to enhance my business and perform personally. I always liked magic in the past and it was kind of a hobby where I knew some tricks but I can became more proficient over the years and learn more tricks and now I’m a professional magician. I also used to book mimes but when one moved, I needed another Mime and I’m very good at visualizing and learning a craft. I performed as a mind with another Mime for the first time, and the client ended up liking me more than the professional mine which gave me a lot of confidence and now I booked myself out.
I also was a professional athlete which helped with coordination and I self taught myself how to dance and I’m a professional ballroom swing dancer/instructor.
It’s fun and challenging to learn new things and to become more profession at them. Most important thing is to have fun and you’re the best you can. There’s always gonna be someone better, but if you entertain people and have a good personality, you could be as good or better than them during events. I’ve also taken chances and started certain festivals that became popular and successful, which was very gratifying. I’m always thinking of new and creative ways to enhance or try something different.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Great question and being an event planner, and knowing about all the different things going on in Southern California, I would put a great itinerary together with different fun happenings, music, travel places, depending on what’s going on during that time.. There’s so many great things to see in place to eat and visit That I would put together a great fun itinerary that is action, packed, and adventurous.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would say my dad. He passed away about five years ago and got me into real estate where he started on his own and had a successful business. He wanted me to work with him, but I didn’t have the passion for it so I went on my own Using the motivation he had for my own company. It was an odd twist as he wanted me to be successful, but wanted me to work with him, but I went on my own and he was apprehensive about it but later in life, he told me how proud he was of how I did that on my own, and started my own company and became successful.
