We had the good fortune of connecting with Tommi Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tommi, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I always always take the risk. I live by it actually. I always say to myself “I’d rather regret something I DID do than something I didn’t do.” because thats all life is about. Stepping out of comfort zones, trying something you haven’t tried before. experiencing as much life as you can. That’s the thing no one tells you about doing things that scare you.. eventually nothing really scares you anymore.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Art has always been engrained in my being. There has never been a time in my life where I wasn’t creating in some form. Creating characters, songs, scripts, you name it, it is inseparable from who I am. It’s why I am where I am today, I just never stop. Right now I am really excited about a feature film I just wrapped titled ‘A Gunfighter’s Deal’. It’s a supernatural western that deals with courage, morals, and the age old question ‘What would you do for love?’. I play opposite the fantastic Jesse Kove along with so many other incredible actors.
I’m also very happy to announce I will be returning to Netflix Sweet Magnolias season 4. My character Olivia Harris was introduced in the last four episodes of season 3 and I am so happy to work with this amazing cast and crew again.
I also have been exploring my personal projects in scriptwriting and songwriting. I recently produced and directed a concept pilot for a mockumentary series titled “Animal Behavior”. I have so much music written and ready to be recorded, that I am just dying to put out into the world, so I’m currently looking for the right producer in Nashville to record sometime this year.
People always ask me where I find the energy or stamina to have a million different projects going on at the same time, but I honestly don’t know if I could stop if I wanted to. The only time I find it challenging are when things don’t happen fast enough, so I just have to remind myself to take deep breaths and let the universe do it’s thing. I really, truly, deeply love what I do, and try to let that shine through on everything I work on. I hope people can feel that and maybe it inspires them to find something that makes them feel the same.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I always pride myself on being the best tor guide ever, but I typically tailor my itineraries to the specific person. However a few spots I always suggest, are Cafe 50’s (amazing 50’s diner, the omelettes are incredible and fantastic milkshakes), Q Billiard’s (my favorite spot to play pool) and everyone who knows me knows how much I love the Thunderbird bar (BEST nachos in the world, great burgers, salads, literally all the food is great, drinks, skee-ball, and some of the best people you’ll ever meet).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Barbara Agozzino- My agent since I was a child. She is like family to me and believed in me from day one. She is the living definition of girlboss, always is in my corner, and always going over and above for me.
