We had the good fortune of connecting with Tori Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tori, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson that my business has taught me is to be okay with setting my prices at what I feel my services are worth. In doing so that has attracted the type of clientele that I love to work with.It has also taught me the value of patience and quality over quantity.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I got to where I am today with alot of practice and correcting mistakes. It was not easy because I had to grow in my confidence. I had to be harder on myself to attain the level of the success that I want. .The lesson I have learned is to “JUST DO IT” and not to let fear and procrastination get in the way. I want the world to know that it is important to me for someone to feel special and confident with something that I was able to do for them. Also that it is not all about the money.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One thing I absolutely love to do is eat ! So we would definitely be eating at a few of my favorite places in town : Hwaro, Captain 6, Nabe, Bahamas Seafood and Tacos. Those are some of the best places (in my opinion to enjoy a good lunch or dinner). We would also go to some fun spots like Area 15, The Mob Museum, and our family favorite the Shark Reef Aquarium!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to send a shoutout to my family and my tribe for being encouraging and inspiring me. They make me continue to be the best version of myself. I especially want to thank my husband for being a motivator even on the days that I may not be receptive. He leads with love and encouragement.
