We had the good fortune of connecting with Tunde Adigun and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, I am a Barber, but I would more so look at myself as a male grooming specialist. What sets me apart from others who are in my field of work is the fact that I’ve been cutting hair longer than most people my age, because I’ve been cutting hair for over 18 years and I’m only 33 years old. Even though I’ve been cutting hair for this long and have made good money from it, what makes me the most proud about what I do, is the opportunity that I got to be able to give back to impoverished communities and give free haircuts to kids from the inner city schools in Los Angeles, due to a mentorship program I’m apart of. How I got to where I am professionally at today, is by applying myself to the opportunities that came from focusing on the craft. As well as being patient and getting better at cutting hair and understanding the business of how barbering works in LA and having the confidence to get out there and prove that I could succeed if I put my mind to it. It wasn’t easy, but I’m a firm believer that in life you have to do what you need to do, so you can end up doing what you want to do. And the lessons I’ve learned along the way is the 5 P’s are extremely detrimental in your professional life and career, and the 5 P’s are “Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance”. What I would want the world to know about me is that I’m a one of a kind individual and I’m extremely good at what I do, and I believe my story resinates with a lot of others that’s why I’m a man of the people.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came out here we would probably go to one of the billion cool restaurants that’s out here, or to a rooftop bar like EpLp or Mama’s Shelter, so they could get a decent view of Hollywood. And I would make sure to put them in a cool environment around cool people with positive vibes and good energy. And maybe hit Zuma Beach if the weather is nice.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this to my family, my parents, my siblings and the city of Chicago, for all playing a significant part in my development as a man and a noble contributing member of society.
