We had the good fortune of connecting with Tw!n Cannon$ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tw!n, how do you define success?
Success to us means living a life we don’t need a vacation from. Enjoying what we do everyday, surrounded by our loved ones. Success is creating generational wealth for our family and future families. Leaving a legacy that positively impacts the lives of millions. Success to us is making the world a better place.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are a sibling duo called Tw!n Cannon$. We’ve created the genre of Conscious Trap, where we rap consciously over trap style beats. Now what sets us apart from others is that our music has a substance. We want our music to positively impact the world and influence others to do great things. Our music is the intersection between generations. We blend old school consciousness with new school beats and topics. Growing up in LA away from family, impoverished, in predominantly white schools and sports as student athletes, we’ve experienced a different life. Our plethora of experiences intersect with so many different walks of life and we are able to put that in our music. That is what sets Tw!n Cannon$ apart.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We come from a super active and adventurous family so we love fun activities and nature. First we’d start out with a brunch at marmalade cafe at the grove. Then followed by a beautiful hike in Malibu or Palos verdes. We’d then grab lunch go at roscoes and go to a museum (MOCA or the BROAD). Swing back home for a nap before the night festivities. After getting ready to go out we’d pregame at the Nile bar in Inglewood for some drinks and great music before our night out. Then we’d hit Hollywood for Warwick or station 1640. The following day would be an adventure day and we’d grab a quick chic fil a breakfast before going jet-skiing in the Marina. Followed by a sunset horseback ride at sunset Ranch Hollywood for a beautiful view of the entire city. We’d conclude the night with a nice dinner at Cheesecake Factory before returning home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to dedicate our shoutout to Tia Spells our mother and manager. Without her we would’ve never started doing music. She has supported and guided us on our journey and deserves all the recognition!
