Meet TY-44 Hands | Rapper & songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with TY-44 Hands and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi TY-44, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I don’t really have an opinion when it comes to risks. To many, what I do and the steps I’m taking to get where I’m trying to go is a risk. But to me it felt like the right thing to do. Not everyone is dealt the same hand in life. So what May seek like a risk to you may not be a risk to someone else. People are so caught up in the “norms” that they forget their own individual strengths. I’m not excluded from that battle, I try to break myself out of it everyday. That’s Off-Road, “No Signal”…doing your own thin…paving your own path so no one can tell you anything.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m TY-44, the rebel, lol it’s funny whenever I say that because I don’t think people understand where that comes from. I think the upcoming music will give more insight on my mindset, but I’m really excited about it. Throughout my life I struggled with loving myself over anything. I’ve always wanted to make everyone else happy accidentally putting their happiness over my own. Music has given me a do over in a way. I feel like music was my chance to take life into my own hands and truly be myself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First stop is definitely Chubby’s so we can get some wings and smothered fries, lol that’s a non-negotiable. We would definitely have to hit the skate park and go vintage store hopping. Most of my friends are athletes or have that kind of background, so most likely we would find a gym for some runs. I’m a hooper at heart, so I don’t think that’s ever really gonna change.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are maby people who have played parts in my success: My parents and family, my producers and friends (rtillery & TK), my supportive label (Foundation Media). There are more but without these people, I don’t know where or how I’d be what I am today.
