Meet Tyler Capri: Intuitive Astrologer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Capri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, what do you attribute your success to?
I think the most important factor behind my success is not being afraid to take risk and express my true authenticity, even if others may not understand me. This inspires me to be a better communicator so I can create dialogue of education and connectivity.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Along with being a intuitive astrology I’m also an Actress. I started acting when I was 8 years old and loved how I could explore my mind and emotions to tell stories. Even though I loved it so much I stopped acting for a bit to explore my other talent, dancing. But after college acting came back into my life and reminded me how much I loved creating and telling stories. This led me to move out here to LA to pursue an acting career. As I studied acting and understanding how to use my mind, voice, and emotions to bring words alive I realized acting wasn’t to only medium for me to share stories. I could also share stories by studying astrology and interpreting the meanings and movements the planets. Learning astrology helped me understand myself better which then allowed me to become a better performer. I am able to connect with characters and storylines in a deeper and more meaningful way. Along my journey I’ve realized that life is always throwing me obstacles to help you learn more about myself, from changing my focus in my career, to moving across the country away from my family to pursue my dream. I felt alone and scared so many times not sure whether or not it was worth it or if I’m able to achieve my dreams but somehow things always seems to work out! I want others to see when hearing my story that I was fearless enough to explore my talents, capabilities, and mind which allowed me to create a life full of freedom and wonder.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My ideal itinerary to have a great time in LA is to first have a beach day! I love going to beach in Playa del rey, I’ll pack some food and snacks so we could lounge at the beach for hours! Then we would definitely have to head over to Monty’s to get the best plant base burger in town! With tater tot‘s on the side! Another place we’d have to go is to the Santa Ynez hiking trail in Malibu. I feel I’m transported into a magical forest everyone I’m there. Afterwards we could refuel by going to tocaya, one of my favorite spurge lunch spots. Since I’m a homebody we’d probably chill for a day by making it a self care day with face mask, cooking, binge watching some tv. And to close out the trip we’d drive to Joshua tree to unplug and soak up the sun during the day and watch the stars at night!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would to thank my friends and family for helping feel loved and supported on my journey! But I would love to give a special thanks to Yoni Circle, a virtual storytelling community for women, for helping me find my voice so that I felt comfortable sharing and connecting with others from all around the world. And The Honey Block, a online health and wellness community for Black & POC, for helping me in creating my first Astrology Workshop!
