Meet Tyler Gallant: Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Gallant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
As far back as I can remember I always used to love to play pretend, I always had such a vivid and vibrant imagination. When I was seven years old my cousin put me in one of his movies. The experience of acting felt just like what I was doing when I would play pretend for fun except this time it was on screen it was for a movie. I was absolutely hooked.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Los Angeles-based actor and I pride myself on being a leading man/character actor. I feel like I have a few things that set myself apart: I’m a former pro athlete, I am ethnically ambiguous, my work ethic, my team mentality, and my drive to always improve. The path of an actor is definitely not easy as there there’s so much competition unlimited roles. I approached it with the idea that I would learn as much as possible, study constantly and work my butt off. I learned that another big component is networking and building relationships in the industry. I would like people to know that I build my brand off of hard work, passion, teamwork and imagination.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Personally I think one of the most magical and soothing places around Los Angeles has to be the ocean. When I’m sitting by the ocean on the beach and you lay back and just take it all in it just feels magical. Well during the pandemic it definitely limited where I could take a visitor but I would definitely say the beach with some fresh fruit from one of the beach vendors will be a pretty great time to me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I will always give credit to my parents, they supported me in all of my endeavors. My parents supported my hockey and all of my trips and they supported my acting whoever that took me. My parents gave me the opportunity from a young age to chase after my passions. So with that being said I am so thankful for them, and dedicate all of my success to them.
