Meet Tyler Seller | Founder of Masshole Media

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Seller and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyler, how do you think about risk?
I am personally a very big risk taker, but in a conservative way. I love action and tend to gravitate to wherever stuff is going on and that is how I meet a lot of people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with. For me its not necessarily FOMO, but the fear of losing an opportunity or regretting it. Whether it was dropping out of school, camping out of a venue to talk to a representative from the artists team to show them my work for an opportunity or sneaking into shows I wasn’t cleared to be at, it all led to my thinking process, style and way of helping others who might not know where to start.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started of filming and photographing friends then it progressively got bigger as I met people and grew curious about who I was surrounded with. I was sneaking into shows to the point security respected my hustle and would let me in whenever they saw me to then finally being able to use that work ethic towards artists teams and sharing my value through my company. As i started of with 5 people we expanded our values and goals to become the worlds first cost efficient media company. How we do that is no matter where a client is in the world we have a team in your area ready to get to work and create content and help with whatever you are looking for without having to pay someone to travel and stay for days and for them to work. For artists on 50 show tours we can save their media and production team anywhere from 50.000 to 3,500,000+ dollars by having our teams in each state or country take care of each individual show wherever the artist is going to next and stay consistent. It is never easy starting from scratch and just having an idea in your head thinking how you are going to get there. The goals have to start small and be attainable so once you get there you know you can aim bigger. You also can’t do it alone and I have been incredibly thankful and blessed to be around talented like-minded people who bought into the idea with me and believed in what we could do for the world and the creative space.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend visited Boston I would have to take them to a Bruins game for sure its electric. I am a very big hockey fan. Would need to get some of the best cannoli’s at Mike’s Pastry my favorite spot for sure. And growing up on the water is really incredible so a beach day with some paddleboarding and surfing is super fun to do. The water is so relaxing and has taught me a lot about and you get to establish a cool relationship with it and be curious about it as you spend more time around it as crazy as it sounds.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A shoutout I never really told anyone about is towards the movie Back To The Future. I have grown into a fascination with how and why about people, films, the way stuff was done and just what I wanted to be growing up as a kid. I wanted to be the time traveler going everywhere and anywhere from something I made and make it look cool and creative doing it. I wanted to be an engineer because of the movie and being around my dad watching what he does for work. When I started my media company and the basis behind it being all over the world with hundreds of creatives being a part of every event, it is like we were time traveling and doing it in the most creative way possible and saving money for people traveling with our company which is pretty cool to think about.
