We had the good fortune of connecting with Unique Amor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Unique, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
We are starting off getting right into it huh?? Well the hardest decision I ever had to make would be deciding to let me children go live with their father so that i could further my career and give them the life we all dream of. It was the hardest decision because my children have been with me since birth. I didn’t want them to feel like I neglected them and so on and so forth. This is by far the hardest but most worth it decision I have ever had to make.

Please tell us more about your art. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
All my art is Dope and original, Rather I am creating a song, performing or recording. I could be writing a script along side my wife Roshaunda Hall. I could be Directing or being the audio engineer. What i write, hear or see is one of a million. What sets me apart from others is that I’m one of those girls that never fit in and was always different. It’s a few hand full of us out there. I attract the most real and most different individuals. MY ART ISN’T FOR EVERYONE. For me to get where I am today took a lot of patience and self isolation from the world. For sure it was not easy but it was lucrative to my success. I overcame my challenges by grounding myself praying to God and having faith that the best was yet to come and well here we are today. Lessons that I have learned along the way would be….. hmmmm Keep God first, Don’t share your ideas with nobody, people really steal ideas and capitalize off of it and give no recognition. Take your time and it’s okay to take breaks. I want the world to know that i am my brand. I work really hard and I am Authentic to the core. I am re branding myself currently and oh boy 2024 is the year i take my brand to another level.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
IF my best friend was to come to town we are most def hanging out at the beach. Balboa Island to be exact. I would take her to eat at Oki Dogs and get some bomb ass tacos.
We would go hiking at Griffith Park.

Where I am at in life, I am finally able to give credit where it is due because I am no longer hurt or in a weird space you know.

First and foremost, My Mother Robin Long. I want to thank her for loving me before I was even born. Thank you for not giving up on yourself or give up on me when I was giving up on myself. Thank you for teaching me how to be strong and to never let a person disrespect me. Our relationship is not always perfect but I want to Publicly say I love you and I know I owe you money and when I get rich I got you momma. Thank you for LIfe. I love you with everything in me.

2nd, My Grandmother Nellie Marie King (RIP) Oh My Angel.
Granny I Love you and I miss you. Thank you for being an amazing grandma with all the granny love you could give.
I remember being a little girl spending time with you. You would brush my hair and talk to me while we watched our soaps lol and game shows. I remember i told my granny that i would buy her a big house and take care of her. I didnt get the chance because you left me early GRANDMA. I Promise to stay on track and take care of your Oldest Daughter. MY MOMMA.

Those two Women are were all of my dreams and passions came from. Thank you.

A special shout out to my Baby Sister Samera Long for singing and dancing with me when we were kids. Loving me no matter what and being that voice in my head when i start to feel like im losing myself. Ilove you Sis.

To My wife an 4 kids, yall deserve all the RECOGNITION in the World. To my Wife, Thank you for loving, caring, teaching me and keeping your foot on my neckat all times. you never let me skip a beat. You are the reason …. Man it gets deep. Just know youre that flashlight in the dark that guides me when i close my eyes and get scared.

Thank you to my children for being my biggest fans and knowing all the words to my songs and thinking I’m the most beautiful woman on TV. Yall saved my life 4 times over.
