Meet Unknownphrazes | Producer/Dj/Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Unknownphrazes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Unknownphrazes, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
One of the things I’ve come to learn and that I’m sure a lot of people are unaware of about the music industry is that it’s literally all about luck. You have to have faith and you have to put the time in and be consistent and put out as much music and content as possible. We’re always working to make the “one” thing but that “one” thing might not be the one so you have to keep pushing and pray for the best.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I consider myself an “Audio Painter” I love working with sounds. I started when I was 13. Being 28 now my journey has been amazing through the ups and downs. Some of the people I’ve worked with have changed my life for the better so the lessons have all been key to molding me into the artist I am today. Being born and raised in Mexico it wasn’t always super easy for me to fit in, so I can say I’m proud for the time and hard work I have put in with all odds stacked against me and to say that I’m genuinely happy doing what I do. I would love others to know that it’s all do able and reachable if you want it to be, literally nothing is impossible and you can create your own reality.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Big fan of “Cafe Gratitude” they have an amazing vegan menu. Also a small Thai spot in east Hollywood off Normandie and Santa Monica called “Spicy BBQ” I also enjoy my time off muholland drive during the day just a chill overlook to think and dwell on life haha

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to shout out Allsxlost. Without them I wouldn’t have understood who I was as an artist and really push myself to grow and flourish into the person I am today. From the shows to the late night sessions they showed me that it was ok to be myself and to come into the scene as myself. So they’ll always be the first shout out in any occasion.
