Hi UNSPOKENVIEWS, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Maintaining balance can be challenging, especially when juggling a 9-5 and pursuing one’s purpose. This can be draining, but effective time management has proven to be my key strategy. Initially, when I decided to take my music career more seriously, I overlooked the potential for burnout by trying to manage everything from home while also working and being in the studio. I embraced an “all gas no brakes” mentality for about two years, but then realized that my pursuit of being a consistent artist was causing me to be absent at home. Being a mom and a wife, I felt disconnected due to constant busyness. These days, I prioritize spreading my time wisely by organizing my schedule, allowing room for planning ahead, and ensuring time for both my family and music. Additionally, prioritizing rest has become crucial, as it helps me recharge and avoid midweek burnouts. I can confidently say that I’ve found a nice little groove within everything that I have going on these days.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My professional life revolves around the ongoing process of strategizing how best to enhance my profile as an emerging artist. This entails planning for various aspects such as new music videos, songs, performances, and more. A significant portion of my time is dedicated to collaborating with my team, ensuring the continuous momentum of our projects and effectively connecting with our audience, all while maintaining a comfortable pace that avoids excessive time spent on any one task. My goal is to consistently surpass my own achievements, while simultaneously captivating both long-time fans and newcomers with the innovative offerings of the mUVment.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What makes me stand out is my unwavering commitment to pursuing my goals while maintaining a respectful demeanor. When I express this, I’m conveying my determination to follow my path while respecting others. I won’t allow others to project their fears onto me by discouraging my actions just because things didn’t work out for them. I consistently prioritize decisions that resonate with my intuition, even when faced with challenges. What I’ve come to understand is that people will always have opinions about me, whether or not I heed their advice. Therefore, I find it more valuable to stay true to myself and my desires. Overcoming such hurdles involves placing trust in my own judgment and seeking guidance through prayer when uncertainty arises. I used to focus heavily on people pleasing others in the past. However, I learned the lesson that in doing so, I was neglecting my own authentic life. I realized how unfortunate it is to go through life without pursuing my passions or loving someone due to others’ expectations. I knew deep within that I couldn’t accept such a life. I want everyone to remember that life is fleeting; we only have one shot at it. Wasting it on trying to meet others’ expectations is unwise. Eventually, we might look back and question whether we prioritized our own happiness or conformed to others’ ideals. I am confident that my answer will be clear when I reflect on my journey.

This shoutout is for those who saw my light when I couldn’t and supported me with endless love and positive affirmations.
