We had the good fortune of connecting with Valentina Trazza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Valentina, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
As a gaming content creator, I learned that creating content online takes up a lot of time. People may think that you’ll just play videogames that you love all the time, but playing videogames was 10% of what I was doing, I was spending most of my time video editing the videos, creating posts for all the social media, researching news on upcoming games, creating networks with community managers of the game companies I wanted to create content on so that I could try to convince them that I could create content relative to their games and I could get a free copy of those games, be a gaming content creator can be very expensive and time-consuming, I was working 24/7 to push my content and creating a community, but another thing that a lot of people don’t know is that you can’t stream or make videos of what you want to do in a videogame if you want to grow in this industry, but you have to create videos and content based on what your ideal viewer wants to watch. Creating a good income on this can be even more challenging, it’s hard to get sponsored in the videogames industry because most of the gaming companies will only provide a copy of their game for free (a couple of days before the release date if you’re lucky) and that’s it, and gamers difficultly will spend money on other things than games, so it was very tough and time-consuming, but I love the community that I created, those guys are the funniest, loveliest and most supporting people, and that was very helpful during the hardest times.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Due to family issues, I momentarily took a break from content creation to dedicate my time to help them, but when I was creating content online what made me happy the most was sharing those moments with my community, we had a lot of fun together and we are still like a big family; I felt very happy with my videos and live streams on Twitch and Youtube when my community was appreciating my efforts and when my content was also helpful to them. I learned that what can make you keep going can be your community and what they give you back, that was very important to me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since I live in the south of Italy I would definitely take my best friend to the sea, we have some places near my city called the Salento Maldives, very beautiful places, next to eat some typical food like Rustici Leccesi, Calzoni, Pizza and different types of pasta, there are also a lot of historical places that are very stunning like the center plaza of my city were people like to hang out during the evening and the Anfiteatro Greco, Italy is gorgeous to visit and to enjoy food, definitely recommended!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely my community, I had very difficult moments during this journey and they were always there reassuring me, giving me the strength to move on when I was overwhelmed. I also have to thank my boyfriend, he always pushed me outside of my comfort zone and that helped me grow as a person, I’m still getting better thanks to his everyday support, he makes me a better person.
