We had the good fortune of connecting with Vas Nova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vas, what do you want people to remember about you?
As a recording studio in Los Angeles, we want our legacy to be defined by our commitment to quality and ability to help artists achieve their creative vision. We want to be known as a place where musicians feel inspired, supported, and encouraged to push their boundaries and explore new sounds.

We want people remember us for welcoming and inclusive environment, regardless of their background, experience, or genre. Ultimately to cultivate a culture of collaboration, mutual respect, and open communication, where everyone feels heard and valued.

What should our readers know about your business?
One of the key distinguishing factors that sets our studio apart from others is the quality of our team and customer support. Over the course of the past five years, we have built a cohesive and passionate team of professionals who continue to pursue their dreams with unwavering dedication. Our commitment to providing exceptional customer support is another defining aspect of our studio. As evidenced by the feedback we receive from our clients, our team’s commitment to ensuring that each musician who enters our doors receives the best possible experience is unparalleled.

At Golden Impala recording studio, we place great value on the work that artists produce, and we recognize how important it is to preserve their creations. That’s why we make a point of saving all of the song projects that come through our studio, ensuring that artists have the freedom to revisit their work at any time. This level of dedication to preserving the work of our clients is not something that other studios often offer, and it truly sets us apart in the industry. Of course, implementing this service required a significant investment on our part, including the purchase of a personal server that now houses 30TB of music.

Throughout our years of operating this business, we have learned some valuable lessons. We have come to understand that patience, hard work, and persistence are key to building a successful enterprise. We firmly believe that the time and effort we have invested in our team and our services will pay off in the long run, and we are committed to building a brand that is recognized worldwide for discovering and promoting new music stars.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would prioritize taking my friend to explore the natural beauty that lies beyond Los Angeles, as there is always something new to discover. In addition, given my background in music, I would also consider taking my friend to one of the music venues that offer live performances, such as The Viper Room. This intimate nightclub, located in the heart of the iconic Sunset Strip, takes inspiration from the great jazz clubs of Harlem from the 1920s. The establishment boasts two stages, with a smaller stage on the lower floor and the main stage on the first floor. Notably, to perform on the main stage, an artist must have a live band. The Viper Room has a history of hosting prominent musicians, including Johnny Cash, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Stone Temple Pilots, Bruce Springsteen, Oasis, Queens of The Stone Age, Courtney Love, Natalie Cole, Elvis Costello, Pete Yorn, Lenny Kravitz, Pearl, and others. Alternatively, I could invite my friend to my studio to experience the life of a music artist and gain insights into the music industry.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Picture this: it was 2014 and I had just arrived in America, full of hopes and dreams. I was young and eager to make music and connect with other creative souls. Little did I know what the future held for me. But one thing was clear: I had a burning desire to pursue my passion, no matter what.

So I worked hard, saved up money, and after 4 years, I made my first big move towards my dream. In 2018, I rented a small garage behind Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave and turned it into my own recording studio. It wasn’t much, but it was cozy and it was mine.

With a team of three sound engineers, including myself, we began recording independent artists and building our brand from scratch. It was tough, but we loved every minute of it. And after a year of hard work and perseverance, we decided it was time to take the next step.

We found a bigger and better location, and that’s where Golden Impala Recording Studio was born. Today, we’re located at 3311 Beverly Blvd in Los Angeles, and we’ve come a long way from that small garage. But none of it would have been possible without the support of my family, especially my mom, my sister, and my wife, who have been there for me every step of the way.

And I also want to give a shoutout to my friends, Alex, Igor, and Gleb, who have been my rocks during the toughest times. Without their support and encouragement, I wouldn’t be where I am today. So to all the dreamers out there, never give up on your passions. With hard work, dedication, and a little help from your loved ones, anything is possible.
