We had the good fortune of connecting with Verroti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Verroti, what matters most to you?
Based on personal belief, one value that matters most to me is authenticity. In the highly competitive industry, it can be tempting to try to fit into certain molds or emulate popular styles in order to gain recognition or fame. However, I prioritize authenticity in my music and my brand tends to resonate more with audiences and build a lasting career. Authenticity can come in many forms, from writing and performing music that reflects my personal experiences and emotions, to being honest and transparent with my fans about one’s creative process and personal life. By staying true to oneself and one’s unique artistic vision, an upcoming music artist can establish a sense of authenticity and credibility that sets them apart from others in the industry.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Like I said in my first interview, this journey hadn’t been any easy, but the wins, the losses, the good times, the pains, and the multiple ‘NO’s I’ve gotten in the past helped to create and shape my story. I was determined to win as a kid and I’m glad I grew up with that mindset knowing where I’m coming from, knowing that there’s nothing out there for me, that I have to work for every single thing I want. The challenges come regularly but it takes a lot of discipline and determination to overcome them whichever way or form they came in. As a rapper, I try to keep it authentic and original, my songs, my style, and the story I put out.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, I have some people that really made this journey interesting in so many ways, I’ll first shoutout to God, I believe in God and I pray to God all day. My mom, for raising me right and keeping me off the streets for as long as possible, even tho I was born in a very rough and poor neighborhood, I want to shoutout to all the producers and artists I’ve worked with, and The Veellain Squad. Thank you, Thank you.
