We had the good fortune of connecting with Victor Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victor, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Starting a new life at 36 in another country is a big risk for me. I already established a career back home – Philippines but due to Covid I realize a lot of things and that includes, wanting more and to live life more.

I also realized that in this life you won’t really stop to explore and discover what you can do. You still want to do better and be the best you can be, not just for yourself but for your family as well.

This transition is a life changing for me, it was tough but it’s one of the best decisions I have made in my life so far.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Age doesn’t really matter and that is really true. You should not stop believing in your capabilities for as long as you live. Focus on what you can and not on what you can’t do. Our brain is our biggest enemy so learn how to control it. Focus on the present and not on the past and the future because it will make you think even more and we know it’s bad for our mental health.

I also would like to share in my social media platform about taking good care of their health holistically. Being fit is not just about the physical aspect of it, but its all about how do you feel. If it makes you feel good and healthy then you are doing the right. Just be consistent and committed with whatever you are doing.

Just continue living, loving and enjoying life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am based in Canada now and I would say Toronto is the best place to check out and party and a lot of options with food tripping.

I am from tropical country so I would always want to go to the beach. By far, Grand Bend Beach is one of the nicest beaches to visit during summer to chill, have some drinks and eat with a lot of cafes and restaurants within the area. There are also lots of parks to check if you want to just enjoy some peace and quiet.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to my husband Ronald Katagiri. He was there 17 years of my life, who guided and helped me get through everything. He made me stronger and feel like I can still do anything for as long as I am willing to learn and have the courage. It was a rollercoaster ride but he was there in ever bump i got into.
