We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Holly and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was fortunate enough to land a wonderful internship with a well-known Los Angeles interior designer. When I was ready to start my own business, but not ready to make the full-time transition, I spent my weekends meeting with clients and working so that I had enough of a portfolio and client base. I didn’t even have a car during this and would have to rent a car every weekend! In the beginning, the money I saved up I used towards getting a good camera to take photos of my work and car rentals! It was an extremely humbling experience and my company has come so far from then.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d start out having brunch at an amazing outdoor restaurant. I’m a sucker for a beautiful brunch spot! And then hang out with friends either at the beach or by the pool, just appreciating the gorgeous weather we have here. We love going to estate sales and antique shopping so would definitely find some time for that! I just like great weather, good food, and great conversations. Nothing fussy or fancy!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My dad. He was the one who got me interested in interior design and art. Every weekend we went to antique auctions or museums and I developed an awareness and appreciation for antique furniture and the importance of art. He also raised me with the belief that I could really do anything I wanted to do. So when I decided to open my own firm, it was an overnight decision. I never doubted myself, all thanks to him and how he raised me.
