Meet Wendy McGhee: Wealth Teammate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Wendy McGhee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wendy, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is perseverance. When I encounter road blocks and want to quit I just tell myself “I’ll quit tomorrow!” And if the same thing happens I say it again. Success comes to confirm that I persevered.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The WOW experience is not wealth coaching, I am y our wealth teammate. Coaches stand on the sideline and “bark” orders, teammates get in the game with you. I am proud to say that WOW has shared our playbook with teammates in a wide range of financial literacy, credit scores, earnings, and savings level. To get to the financial freedom described in the WOW Playbook was a bumpy road but a necessary journey. To overcome the rough patches/challenges I decided to paint a picture in my mind what my goals are and what it would take to get there. The principles in the book are perfect for first time financial planning and for getting back on track. The biggest lesson learned is that even a perfect plan can have problems but I must persevere and its ok to fall 10 time as long you get up 10 times. I was born rich not with money but with the love and support of family and friends. But financially I struggled until after college. I don’t believe that money and financial freedom is everything but it is necessary for everything. Your financial journey is a path you make for yourself, follow your own path at your own pace. I dreamed of all the things I would do and see and the people I would help, I have been able to accomplish my goal through my successful wealth journey. Even dropping a “ball” or two.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In LA (my second home) First Stop is Poppy & Rose for breakfast (chicken and waffles) Then walk off the breakfast with a stroll through the Flower Market Plop the purchased flowers in the car and drive through Beverly Hills and dream Take a quick ride down Hollywood Blvd and checkout the tourists and check out a few of the stars Well it’s lunch time so it’s time to head to Disneyland for junk food and rides (Must have – Simpson’s donut!) After the rides it’s time for great “street food”, so I head to West Hollywood, no coat or tie needed at my fav is Gracias Madre.
