We had the good fortune of connecting with Witalij Martynow and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Witalij, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to help people take two steps that i have already taken. Those steps can change anyones life because we all have a similar system in place. The first step is to realize that majority of the mental health and even chronic physiological issues are caused by unprocessed trauma. The second step is to release, process and heal that trauma. There are many ways to do it- and after being paralyzed for over a year and trying tons of ways to heal- I found that breathwork is one of the most effective modalities.

What should our readers know about your business?
What separates me from others is definitely my height. I am 6’10ft tall and with that size you can easily induce two emotions in people. It’s either fear or trust. People call me a gentle giant. I got lots of love to give and my clients sense that right away, that’s why it’s easy for them to open up to me. They feel safe, which is one of the most important things when working with people. I’ve been through a lot and I’ve managed to work through it all and one of the things that helped me was breathwork. I have my own method of doing it and people love it. I think when you do something with that pure vibration of love, people will resonate with it and will be drawn to you like the bees to the honey. Success is not a journey or a destination, it’s an emotion we feel when we accomplish something we’ve been working hard on. People chase that emotion but when they get to it- it fades within days. Outside of healing trauma, I teach people how they can create that emotion inside of them on a daily basis so they can attract even more good stuff. We attract what we are, not what we want. Making sure that we vibrate with the highest possible frequency is the key of living a good life and my breathwork will literally make you vibrate!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I really love the nature and California has a full spectrum of it. You can be at the desert with a 100 degrees and in the next two hours you’re in the snow freezing your butt off. So I usually drive my friends around LA for one day and show them quickly the famous spots and then I take them on a road trip. Through PCH to see marvelous elephant seals and the magical coast of the Big Sur. Visit otters in Monterey Bay, swing by San Francisco and eat a hot clam chowder while taking a boat underneath the Golden Gate Bridge. Visit Russian Gulch State Park and humongous Pacific Red Woods. jump in a waterfall in Mount Shasta, swim on a kayak through Lake Tahoe, hike through Yosemite and Sequoia Parks, feel the heat in the Death Valley and Joshua Tree and swim in turquoise waters of Laguna Beach. That’s my type of best time ever. You connect to your guests a lot deeper while on the nature. At the end of the day, people don’t remember what you said or did, they’ll remember how you made them feel.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve had many amazing teachers and mentors that I could name but I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support from my mom Irina and my sister Lena. If someone needs credit in my story- it’s definitely them. I don’t think any bank in the world has enough credit that they deserve. They put their personal lives on hold to help me get through my early 20’s that were filled with a lot of pain and confusion.
