Meet XYDX | Musician

We had the good fortune of connecting with XYDX and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi XYDX, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I always tell myself I rather take the risk than lose the chance. If you don’t jump on a risk your answer will always be no. I try everything and anything to push my music out to people even if it’s unlikely they’ll respond back. I’d be more satisfied with myself knowing I tried rather than not.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My music is raw and emotional. I don’t filter out anything when it comes to my lyrics. I want everyone who listen to my music to know that we all experience sadness, pain, love, and every emotion there is as a collective. My music is to help people feel like they’re not alone. That’s what I want people to know about my music.
It wasn’t easy starting off, I only had five listeners on SoundCloud and zero on YouTube. I started taking the risk and reaching out to fellow artists and eventually I grew an audience.
I’ve learned to never be afraid, once you let fear enter your subconscious and as soon as you act upon that fear, you lose.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Times Square since there not much to do in my hometown, Yonkers NY. The most exciting people to meet there would be the performers and musicians. We would check out all the infamous stores near by.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to shout out Lil exosphere. He’s my main producer and has helped me out a ton with music. He helped put together our collective “ Selected Only” which includes diverse artist such as myself and we’re currently working on an album. Two books that I would like to credit would be “ Book of mastery” and “The power of awareness.” Both books had shown me that I am the creator of my life and anything is possible as long as I truly believe that. I live everyday as if I were already the person I want to become.
