We had the good fortune of connecting with Yazmin Teodoro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yazmin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I would say the thought process of starting Vida Dulce was, is baking. Just to convert the Mexican Pan Dulce to Vegan Pan Dulce. It’s thought but fun.

What should our readers know about your business?
Vida Dulce first started with me just baking for myself. I first started making conchas (a traditional Mexican sweet bread). The little twist is that I make them vegan. And here in Vegas, there wasn’t anyone making them, that is why I started. Then continue just sharing the conchas with friends. And my friends are the ones who helped and pushed me to sell them. That is how Vida Dulce started as a business and my purpose changed. I wanted/want to show the community that you can still be vegan and enjoy our delicious Mexican Pan Dulce. Now everyone enjoys it, vegans and no vegans. That is an accomplishment for me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is a lot to do here in Vegas, but definitely away from the city, you will find the best. Red rock, Mountain Charleston and visit a wonderful sanctuary All Friends Animal Sanctuary.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, my mother! She has been a BIG support to me and Vida Dulce. She’s always there helping out, decorating, and packing or she would sometimes jump onto baking.
