We had the good fortune of connecting with Young Corrupt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Young, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose to do music because it’s all I ever loved. when I would go to school in the morning there wouldn’t be one day that I didn’t have my earphones in listening to music. music is what really keeps me going in life, the one thing I love about music is how it can affect someone’s emotions, pretty much how it can make really happy or sad. I love to make music people can relate to, if I can do that then I feel like I’ve done my job. I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs through this journey but ive come to realize that it’s the only way you can become successful in this industry. keep pushing and never let up because you never know when the big break is around the corner.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I could tell you what set’s me apart from other’s but i would be lying. everyone has had big influences and people they look up to, yes i don’t sound the same as my influences but i am working closer in finding my sound, for now all im doing is making music i love and hope people out there hear it and f*ck with it. What i want the world to know no matter what you go through things will get better.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want shoutout Mattew Goldman,Bleverly Hills,Matty,Zonekidd. all these people have been a big part of my music and they’re the best that I could ever ask for. with them there is no doubt we will reach success.
