Meet Yu Vitor | Actor、Rapper、Kung-Fu master

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yu Vitor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yu, how does your business help the community?
I believe art has the power to make the world a better place.
Through music, film, and movement, I want to inspire people to look beyond borders, race, and language, and see what connects us as human beings.
The world is full of noise and division, but art can remind us of empathy, freedom, and unity—and that’s the change I want to be part of.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is a reflection of two worlds — Japan and Brazil — and the spirit that connects them.
I express myself through film, music, and martial arts, blending discipline, rhythm, and emotion. What sets me apart is that I don’t see boundaries between art forms or cultures. I mix languages — Japanese, Portuguese, and English — and I mix movement, sound, and storytelling. My goal is to show that creativity has no borders.
It definitely wasn’t easy to get here. When I first came to Los Angeles, I had nothing but my dream and the discipline I learned from martial arts. There were many challenges — language barriers, cultural differences, moments of loneliness, and rejection. But every time I fell, I remembered the lessons from my masters: breathe, stay centered, and move forward. That mindset kept me going.
What I’m most proud of is staying true to who I am — never changing my core, even when things got tough. I’ve learned that success isn’t about being the loudest or the most famous — it’s about creating something honest that can touch people’s hearts.
Through my work, I want the world to feel connection, freedom, and respect. My story isn’t just about me; it’s about anyone who’s fighting to stay authentic in a world full of noise.
If my art can inspire even one person to believe in their own story — to move, to dream, to rise — then I’ve already done my part.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love nature, so I really recommend visiting places like Yosemite and Monmouth — the nature there is absolutely beautiful.
For surfing, Manhattan Beach and Malibu are amazing, and the pier in Redondo Beach is super fun too.
When it comes to coffee, I’d love to recommend Javista Caffé in Hollywood — it’s the perfect place to chill, work on your own stuff, or just reset your mind. Everything there is great, but their Honey Lavender Latte is honestly the best coffee I’ve
ever had.
For food, my top picks are Shinsengumi, an izakaya in Torrance, and Toshi Sushi, which is also really delicious.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First, I want to thank my parents—for all the love they gave me, and for showing me what it truly means to be human.
To my martial arts masters at Pachi TangLang Martial Arts Institute, thank you for the wisdom, the spirit, and the discipline that shaped my soul.
And to my wife—thank you for bringing so much light and happiness into my life.
