Meet Zara Solava: Tattoo Shop Owner/ Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zara Solava and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zara, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Once I had my daughter and had been in my industry for 6 plus years, I knew I wanted to start and create my own space. I want to leave a legacy and name behind for my daughter. I would be doing myself a disservice by not going for bigger and better things. I want my clients to come to a safe space they trust and can relax in; and I believe, I’ve done that with Opal Tattoo.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a fine line tattoo artist. I love taking peoples ideas and turning them into reality. Their is a very healing aspect of tattooing and I love that I can provide that them. I love what I do and I love creating art. Opal Tattoo is a new kind of tattoo shop. We cater to everyone no matter where you come from or what you look like. We are appointment only to give each client the proper time dedication. You can also shop with us! We have a great collection of things in store from local Los Angeles handmade artist. Anything from masks, art work, clothing, hand sanitizer and candles. If people don’t want a tattoo they can just shop with us and support the community.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Places to eat, Escuela Taqueria is awesome, Backyard bowls and so is Dr. Sandwich. Since COVID still limits us on things thats about it…
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to all the small businesses out there still staying strong during these crazy times
