We had the good fortune of connecting with Zelly Vibes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zelly, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind success I believe is to learn how to regulate your emotions during stressful situations. It starts with mental health, if one works on getting the mind strong, I feel is the foundation to a better quality of life that can allow you to think clearly and find solutions on those challenging days. Building a brand is not easy it will have ups and downs, a lot of people give up when it gets difficult but it’s who does not quit who can continue to expand and accomplish their goals.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a self-made Mexican American singer-songwriter, I stand out in the music industry by blending Spanglish, Latin, and Hip Hop influences, creating a unique sound that resonates with diverse audiences.
My journey reflects determination and resilience, inspiring women to embrace their identities and pursue their passions unapologetically.
Through my music, you feel empowerment and authenticity, encouraging others to break barriers and make their own paths.
My success as an independent artist not only showcases my talent but also its powerful testament of hard work and self-belief.
Building a brand is not easy, specially as an independent artist. You have to perfect your craft as well as to learn the business.
Overcoming the challenges of being an independent artist has been a transformative journey for me. Each day, you have to dedicate time to nurture your mental health, self-reflection to stay strong and motivated. I have learned through trial and error, viewing setbacks as opportunities.
Surrounded by uplifting friends and mentors, I have what encourages my creative expression and growth. My fans also play a crucial role, they are the love and inspiration that fuels me. All of this empowered me and got me through the challenges of the music industry, turning obstacles into stepping stones.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My home town is Las Vegas, NV and so many people just know Las Vegas for the night life. If I wanted to show someone my home town, I would want them to have the local experience.
During the day I would go to Mountain’s Edge Exploration Peak Park, it has a short hike and very nice view of the city. I would then go for breakfast at Mr. Mamas. I would explore Fremont Downtown and have lunch at container park, Late night I would go to Berlin to meet friends for dinner and drinks.
Other places to check out the 7 magic mountains art installation, the sphere, the Las Vegas strip , Area 15 , Altura events, Tuesday blend.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow there is so many people who deserve credit and recognition for contributing in my career. I will start with my family because they were the first to believe in me and support me. My mom would drive me to all my events where I’d perform no matter if tired or not.
My performance teacher Ixela Gutierrez who taught me work ethic, discipline and technique. Who gave me many opportunities and believed in me.
My best friend Uraina Serna who joined my journey by literally converting herself into any person I needed , hair stylist , therapist, assistant, manager , graphic designer etc. she believed in me as much as I believed in myself.
My girls Nixxie , Esee, Summer, Davi, Breonna, Pau for the support and encouragement and for attending to all my shows and assisting me in all you can.
To Sound By Dawson, David Grants, Dany Xcobar , Javi , Broyal and all engineers I’ve ever worked , producers , artist peers , event curators, graphic designers, dancers , videographers, photographers..
And last but not least to my fans, my inspiration, my fuel. The ones who genuinely appreciate me for who I am. Without your support and love this would not matter.
