We had the good fortune of connecting with Zuce Morales and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zuce, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor has always been my determination. It has helped me to stay consistent, patient, hard working and confident about myself.
If you are pursuing a career that the world see it as non conventional, you have to stay loyal to your dreams and values. My advise is to visualize your goals, you have to see it in order to believe it.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an artist, educator and community cultivator who believes in the importance of knowledge and paying respect to any dance art form and culture. I am committed to creating more opportunities for those who pursue dance with determination, patience, consistency, expression and a sense of community as well as to providing spaces where generations of dancers can find their own freedom and spread their passion to the world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely Suehiro Cafe at Little Tokyo, Santa Monica Pier, Downtown LA (Santee Alley), Downtown Burbank, The Queen Mary and Long Beach Aquarium, Venice, Marina Del Rey.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and close friends always first, without their support I wouldn’t be where I am now. And of course to my mentors and teachers that have guided me thru this journey.
