I want to be remembered for my tenacity, passion & community care. I have been been cooking my whole life and truly love what I get to do for work. I strive to freely share my knowledge and food with my local community whenever I am able. I am deeply passionate about supporting regenerative farming and sourcing ingredients in a way that supports fair wages and ethical business practices. As someone with an incurable, degenerative illness I hope to inspire other people in the culinary world and creatives to live their dreams no matter the obstacles and to stay present to joy. I hope my legacy will be that I’ve helped all people feel more confident and live their best life by providing products and tools that maximize their physical appeal and health. I created an artificial intelligence (AI) personal stylist that uses a science-based methodology to choose fashion and cosmetic products that are ideal for each individual and styles one better than a celebrity personal stylist, without making personal stylists obsolete. Additionally, I’ve written and self-illustrated the most comprehensive books on makeup application and personal grooming to date: Hollywood Beauty: The Art of Star Makeup and Grooming for Men: Dirty to Polished. They include original user-friendly beauty techniques, an A through Z all-life stage education, and individualized prescriptive solutions, so readers can effectively choose and use products to look their best. As a business owner, I want my legacy in life to be remembered as a creative designer who made clothes that appealed to the eyes of consumers; as well as to make the customer feel more confident in their skin. When customers wear a piece of clothing from FRVR DFRNT I want them to feel important and unique. The company’s contributions to its industry, its impact on the community and environment, its financial success, and its values and culture. I want to be remembered for my kindness, achievement, integrity, and the way I make people feel. Building a positive and lasting legacy often involves being a good person, making a difference in the lives of others, and leaving a positive impact on the world. Read more>>

For me, legacy is about having a positive and lasting impact on community and society. This has tremendous professional and personal significance to me, as both a filmmaker producing artistic works and a mother raising three young children. I want to be remembered for amplifying underrepresented voices through telling inspiring stories that meaningfully shape culture, particularly for the next generation as they navigate their place in the world. For this reason, I write and champion diverse coming-of-age, intergenerational family and children’s narratives. In doing so, my hope is to make the world more empathetic and equitable not only for my own kids, but for generations to come. Imagine a world where everyone feels seen, like they belong, like they matter—because everyone’s story and experience should matter. Read more>>
