What habits do you feel helped you succeed?

We don’t believe success is random. Over the years we have spoken with hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs, artists, creatives, researchers, athletes, and more. We’ve learned from them – both through their stories and through the advice they’ve shared with us – and it’s quite evident that success is more likely when certain habits are present. So, we decided to ask folks to share their habits with us, especially those that they feel helped them succeed.

I feel like my continuous desire to receive advice and learn lessons on a regular basis, no matter how experienced I get, has helped me succeed. First off, simply saying yes to the reoccurring thought of “Should I bring my camera?” when headed out to something whether it be an event, a friend link up, or even an errand run. For me, developing habits and routines are crucial for success, especially as a photographer and Vice President at CARVINGBLOCK. Every morning, I begin with a mental check-in by jotting down my thoughts, a habit that helps me focus and clear my mind so I’m ready to take on the day. Read more>>

1 – Breathwork – it’s like performance training for your brain. It also rewires the way you deal with stress so when shit gets real, ie you lose a deal, talent goes somewhere else, you’re in a disagreement, etc, you have the mental capacity to stay calm and present, and look for solutions instead of competing with drama.
