Moving to LA! I’m originally from Minnesota, and there were some acting opportunities out there, but I knew if I really wanted to pursue film and TV, I needed to be in Los Angeles. I sold all my belongings, loaded up my car, and drove here in the pouring rain. Showing up during a thunder storm could have been a very bad sign, but I chose to see the bright side. The single most important decision I made that contributed to my success was finding my tribe, darlin’. Just like Jane Howard and Margaret Mead said, having a sense of community is essential. Building connections with like-minded folks who understand and share my interests and values created a cozy, supportive space for me. It’s like finding my own creative haven, where we can share ideas, have a laugh, and motivate each other. Accepting and uplifting each other, rather than tearing each other down, has been key. It took a dash of bravery, a sprinkle of openness, and staying true to myself. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and start your own gang if you have to. Finding those kindred spirits who resonate with your unique self enriches your life and brings true success. So go out there, find your tribe, and have fun along the way! Read more>>
