Meet Ramon Navos-Moral: Topline Songwriter / Vocalist

I was in the video games industry working for Hyperkin, Inc as a Sr. Account Manager for the last 8 years but decided to separate ways w/ the company 11 months ago. I am now a small scale angel investor and invested in a few businesses owned by close friends and family here in the US and in The Philippines. I let my money work for me as I fulfill my passions (boxing and music). I am also a part time boxing instructor but I identify myself more as a topline singer / songwriter.

In my journey, the biggest struggle was the fear of failure. Once you go past that, a bigger world becomes available to you! Failing is like training, it just makes you better. I always have a wandering mind and a curious heart which lead me to a lot of different industries. Now, I can say that I am happy and content with what I do!

One thing you should always look for is something that makes you happy. For me, happiness comes from being of service to others.

When you love what you do, you will always do your best, and when you do your best, you will always attract the right clients and customers and that equals money. You see, in that order, the first thing to look for is finding something that you love.

Oh man, I am bad at making plans because I always go with the flow. I’m the spontaneous type. If I had to, this would be my itinerary.

1) IN N OUT – Straight from the airport, you have to go to In-n-Out !

2) I would take them to the beach in the morning. I used to travel a lot for work and people just don’t realize how privileged we are in California because of our beautiful weather and the beautiful beaches accessible to us!

3) St. Peregrine Church at Mission San Juan Capistrano. It is always good to be spiritually full as well!

4) Going to a Laker Game is a must!

5) We’ll go to DTLA and go bar hopping. I think we have a lot of beautiful bars and rooftop bars in DTLA!

6) I’ll take them to Santa Monica Pier, the beach and The Promenade and while driving there, I’ll play Sheryl Crow’s
“ All I wanna Do “ and wait for them to sing the part
“ .. until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Blvd “ lol that always works..

7) Since we are blessed with a lot of music festivals here in Southern California, I will make sure to take them to one, at least. Coachella, Beyond Wonderland or Insomniac Event’s Countdown. I want them to experience not just the music, but also the culture and the people! I met tons of awesome people at festivals who are now my close friends!

8) People don’t realize that LA has the most Korean Bbq places here in the US. That will be our recovery food after a night out or after a festival.

9) I could only think of food at this point! Lol. I’ll take them to different food trucks. LA is number 8 in the US with the most food trucks, just fyi.

10) I’ll take them to The Getty Museum and Griffith Observatory. Art and Science in one day!

11) DISNEYLAND

There’s a lot of people that I am grateful for  because these are the people that made an impact in my life. Here’s my list!

1) My parents – Mignone Fulay Moral and Alfonso Nasol Moral who exposed me to music at an early age and taught me the value of love and life. I am who I am because of them.

2) Brown Session (Warren, Tony, Nikki & Don) – My first band who exposed me to sex, drugs, & rock n roll. However, I am about Peace, Love, Unity & Respect now. 

3) To Ahmad Tanji of the band
“ We are Imaginary “ who was the catalyst in my journey for songwriting. We couldn’t start a band because he was the John Lennon to my Paul Mccartney and you can’t have 2 captains in one ship. Lol
I have high regards for him as an artist and as a friend.

4) Cabuizee (dj/producer) – We both had our first professional song release on a collaboration under Pandafunk Records back in 2016 and worked on a lot of projects together including our first EP. I would say we grew and learned as artists at the same time and lead us to our individual paths now. He is a successful artist/producer now signed with Warner Philippines and when one person wins in our team, we all win!

5) Nick Morzov – He is the best all around artist, producer, multi instrumentalist, sound engineer you’ll ever find in the West Coast! He is my audio engineer for 5 years now and I work with him at his studio when I record my vocals. I always learn a thing or 2 each time I work with him. I’m sure he will cry once he reads this. Lol

6) Andrew Castañon – One of the first people who believed in my music and opened up opportunities for me. He was the A&R for Pandafunk Records years ago and taught me a few things in regards to the business side of the music industry. Great person to work with!

7) Slyder (Dj/Producer) – He is a very talented dj/producer and he owns Essential Music Records based in Germany. We’ve had a few successful songs together and it only shows that we have an awesome creative chemistry. It’s like finding a brother in music! I see myself working with him and his label in the years to come!

8) Melissa Somodio – One of the most hardworking entrepreneurs and mothers that I know. It’s hard to elaborate but let’s just say her hustler mentality inspired me to have that same outlook in life. She is a warrior queen!

9) Coach Marvin Somodio – He is one of the top boxing coaches in the world and he is the right hand man of Coach Freddie Roach at Wild Card Gym. He is my boxing coach and mentor and because of him, I realized my love for sharing knowledge in boxing which lead me to become a boxing instructor myself. He taught me a lot not just in boxing but in life. One of the most humble people you’ll meet in your lifetime!
